Fifth Floor Common Room [Monday evening]

Don't ask where she had gotten them, or how -- as a former Scout herself, Sookie had sources.

The important thing was that Monday night found Sookie camped out on the couch in the common room with her entire newly-acquired Girl Scout cookie collection as she channel-surfed. And while she was perfectly willing to share, visitors best be warned that her wrath would befall anyone who took the last of her Samoas.

Seriously.

"Well." Sookie selected another cookie, mulling that over. "That's ominous. Do they want anything from you?"

"We are your family, join us, we belong together," Raven sighed. "Of course I told them to leave."

"If they come back," Sookie said, serious for a moment, "you know we're not letting them take you. I'll electrocute all six of 'em personally if I have to."

"I hope it will not come to that," Raven said, though she was filled with gratitude for Sookie's determined support. "They may have been rebuffed each time they attacked this time, but they are very powerful. Though their gifts are more limited than mine, at least. They each seem to exert control over a particular set of emotions, those related to a deadly sin. Jacob, as you know now, controls Lust."

"Anyone got Gluttony?" she asked with a slight smile. "This common room would be a goldmine for them."

"Gluttony was one of my brothers who was not on the island," Raven said, "so I have not met him yet. The ones who were here were Lust, Wrath, and Envy. They claimed that Gluttony, Greed, and Sloth were awaiting our return."

"Pride's missing," Sookie said, ticking those off on her fingers. "And of course Sloth was waiting. Sloth probably didn't even get out of bed."

She thought she was funny.

Raven had to smile at that; her brothers probably had trouble getting Sloth to do anything or Gluttony to stop eating.

"That is because I am supposed to be Pride," she finally said, worrying at her lower lip.

"You're awful modest for that," Sookie noted thoughtfully.

"I am apparently not very good at being a sin," Raven said with a tiny smile. Though some might disagree with that.

"I'd count that as a good trait," Sookie decided. "I'm probably not all that good at it, either. Generally sinfulness and I tend to disagree."

Except in small quantities. Ahem.

"I have been guilty at times of lust and envy and wrath," Raven admitted. "Not so much gluttony, greed, and sloth." She had to wonder if that was why those three had come to see her.

"But as I said, my brothers appear to be much more limited in what they can do compared to me. I am stronger than they are, and I will not allow them to harm me or those I care for."

Yes, there was little doubt she was Pride.
