Fifth Floor Common Room [Monday evening]

Don't ask where she had gotten them, or how -- as a former Scout herself, Sookie had sources.

The important thing was that Monday night found Sookie camped out on the couch in the common room with her entire newly-acquired Girl Scout cookie collection as she channel-surfed. And while she was perfectly willing to share, visitors best be warned that her wrath would befall anyone who took the last of her Samoas.

Seriously.

"Wow, that is a lot of cookies," Peter declared, wandering into the common room. "I'm assuming you're sharing and not just gaining weight for swimsuit season."

He thought he was hilarious.

Sookie arched a brow over at him, shifting her Thin Mints a little closer just for that. "I know you're trying to be funny, but that kind of remark ain't going to get many girls to share much of anything with you, Peter. Try again."

Rilla came into the room just in time to hear the comment and gave him a flat stare. "That was not polite."

Karla had missed Peter's initial comment, so she was probably one of the few females in the room not already irritated with him. "Kiss kiss," she said, cradling a handful of cookies. "These are really good! Have you had some?"

"Good evening, Sookie!" Rilla said as she bounced into the room. "How was your weekend?"

"Largely uneventful, honey. Want a cookie?" she asked, holding out a box of Samoas. "You haven't lived 'til you've tasted what the Girl Scouts have to offer us."

Lucivar had mentioned fussing over a young female at the picnic, one who wore a sunhat when bidden.

Karla was guessing he meant Rilla. The hat gave it away. As did the slight expression of terror he said she wore.

"I hear you made a friend over the weekend," she said, smirking slightly.

"Oh my god, you have cookies," Kennedy declared, pumping one fist as she barged into the common room and snagged a handful of Tagalongs because by god if I can't have them any more for real I WILL HAVE THEM BY PROXY.

...Tagalongs being coated with chocolate, naturally, meant that she had to eat them as fast as possible to avoid sticky, clothes-smudgy doom. Kennedy flopped down onto the end of the couch and made a grab for a Samoa. Just one, Sookie.

"How the hell did you find these? The damn Girl Scout Cookie app keeps telling me there's nothing within, like, fifty miles."

"I was a Brownie. I have my sources," Sookie winked, giggling at Kennedy's enthusiasm. "By the way, did you want some? Because I'm getting the feeling you're a fan."

Subtle manners reminders? Oh, Sookie, you know subtlety rarely works on Kennedy.

Rilla gave her a wave from the sofa. "They're good too!"

This was Rilla's first Girl Scout cookie experience.

"Maybe they should have an elementary school here too," Bobby pondered. "And then there could be a Girl Scout troop to sell us cookies."

"Does everybody know about these cookies, then?" Karla asked, reaching over to try to snag one of Kennedy's Tagalongs.

Bruce was just walking past the common room when he spotted the multitude of cookies. He felt there was a question that needed to be asked, so he stopped in. "Aren't you a little old to be a Girl Scout?"

"I gave it up almost ten years ago," Sookie said, shaking her head. "I just have friends in cookie-related places."

Rilla grinned impishly at him. "But you aren't a girl at all, so no cookies for you."

"I don't think there's an age limit," Bobby said seriously. "I mean, I've never been a Girl Scout so I don't really know, but you can be a Boy Scout in high school."

Bobby had been looking for some organic Kashi that showed up in the Common Rooms every so often. Instead he found a pretty girl and cookies. He kind of thought that was a good deal.

"Hi," he said giving Sookie a little wave. "Are you a Girl Scout?"

"Not since I was eight," she said, waving back. "I just know a few who managed to get me the cookies we were all so desperately in need of. Ain't March without Girl Scout cookies."

Raven, bag from 'Dite's in hand, wandered through the common room on the way back to her room. "Sookie!" she said upon seeing her friend there. "I have been wanting to speak to you -- I had heard that one of my brothers attempted to speak to you this past weekend."

"Yeah, you have a heck of a family, Raven. Don't worry, I survived," Sookie said dryly. "Want a cookie?"

"Are these the magical cookies you were telling me about?" Karla asked, poking her head in the doorway of the common room. "The one's that are somehow supposed to be better than Alfred cookies or Mrs. Beale cookies?"

Karla remained as yet unconvinced.

"Prepare to have your mind blown, Karla," Sookie said, holding out the box of Samoas. "These are unlike anything you've ever tried."

Bobby wasn't going to ask where the cookies were from. He was, however, going to ask if he could have some.

By sitting next to Sookie and giving her a wide-eyed puppydog face.

She knew what he wanted. He just had to use his words, okay?
