Don't ask where she had gotten them, or how -- as a former Scout herself, Sookie had sources.

The important thing was that Monday night found Sookie camped out on the couch in the common room with her entire newly-acquired Girl Scout cookie collection as she channel-surfed. And while she was perfectly willing to share, visitors best be warned that her wrath would befall anyone who took the last of her Samoas.

Seriously.

"Um, yeah." Kennedy reached over to playfully swat at Karla's hand. (Only because it wasn't the very last one. Take that, and she would throw down.) "You'd get a pass for not being from this world except you've been here how long now?"

Karla's expression turned injured. "And I'd just like to point out how sad it is none of my friends before this had thought to introduce me to scouting cookies," she said, shaking her head sadly. "For shame, Kennedy. For shame."

Kennedy at least had the grace to look vaguely chastised. "Things were kind of hectic last year around cookie time?" she tried. She'd been off in South Dakota with Dru and Dinah right about this time a year ago, if she remembered correctly. "Things need to stop doing that at cookie time. Man. Uncool."

"I think that means I should get another cookie," Karla said, still trying to sound pathetic.

What? If nothing else, Kennedy had to respect the tactic.

Kennedy had gotten so much mileage out of that tactic. It was a classic; of course she respected it.

So she held out a box of Do-Si-Dos (she'd get Sookie more to make up for this) by way of response.

"Gotta make up for lost time, right?"

Karla beamed at her. "See? This is why I adore you, Kennedy." No, not because of the cookies, though Karla was grabbing for them. Duh. Like she was going to let them get away. "Generosity of spirit and all that good stuff."
