Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning
Really, it probably should have been a shock to wake up in a room you hadn't even seen for nearly twenty years. And yes, it had been a little disorienting at first, but please. Not only was Kate Desrosiers a Fandom High alumna, she had also taught at the school herself, and had visited pretty frequently over the years since. There were few strange occurrences that could shock her anymore.
So really, all this randomly-getting-transported-overnight stuff really meant at this point was that she was saving money on gas for her car.
Having rolled out of bed and boggled at her old room for a moment, Kate did what came naturally. And that was wandering on down to the common room, getting the coffee machine going, and getting started on a batch of muffins. If memory served her right, the smell would be enough to lure people in. She was kind of curious as to who all she'd see.
And if there was anyone in particular she was hoping to run into... Well, you would not be the first to know.
[ooc: You can't possibly think this could be anything other than open.]

It was a compliment. He wasn't terribly used to those.
"Thank you?" That was generally how compliments were handled, yes. "You're looking well, yerself, mate."
Less blue.

Sigh.
"Probably not th'wisest move on my part."

Like, say, having slept with an alternate universe version of the woman you love, who was out to manipulate you for her own ends while pretending to be the version you loved.
Yeah, that was fun. Really.

Yes, twenty years later, and Jono still remembered that one like it was just the other day.

Jono frowned at his muffin for a moment (and wasn't it crazy how those lips just served to deepen that frown all the more?) and then shrugged his shoulders dismissively.
"Hopefully, other people around here have had better luck than I have."
