Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning
Really, it probably should have been a shock to wake up in a room you hadn't even seen for nearly twenty years. And yes, it had been a little disorienting at first, but please. Not only was Kate Desrosiers a Fandom High alumna, she had also taught at the school herself, and had visited pretty frequently over the years since. There were few strange occurrences that could shock her anymore.
So really, all this randomly-getting-transported-overnight stuff really meant at this point was that she was saving money on gas for her car.
Having rolled out of bed and boggled at her old room for a moment, Kate did what came naturally. And that was wandering on down to the common room, getting the coffee machine going, and getting started on a batch of muffins. If memory served her right, the smell would be enough to lure people in. She was kind of curious as to who all she'd see.
And if there was anyone in particular she was hoping to run into... Well, you would not be the first to know.
[ooc: You can't possibly think this could be anything other than open.]

It could get a bit inconvenient; you never knew when someone was going to park an ox cart somewhere.
So he'd simply padded out of his room and started looking for a common room to feed him, and look, there he was. "Koffie?" he asked, blinking the sleep out of his eyes.
no subject
"If that's a highly accented way of saying coffee, then yes," she said, straigthening up and nodding towards the coffee machine. "Help yourself."
no subject
In lieu of answering her verbally, he shuffled towards the coffee machine and took a cup. Methodically, he made himself a cup of coffee, took a sip, closed his eyes, and let it sink in.
Oh. Right. English.
"Good."
Well, English-by-way-of-caveman.

"Kate, hey," he greeted, going to pour himself a cup of coffee. Being able to actually drink the stuff hot was... something he hadn't experienced in a while.

There were plenty.

The woman baking looked familiar, but to his disappointment, Bobby couldn't quite put a name to the face yet. "You've started coffee too?" he asked with a smile. "Now I can't even offer to help in exchange for whatever it is that smells so good."
no subject
"Old habits die hard, I guess," she said, shrugging. "It's muffins, I kinda got the urge when I saw this particular kitchen again."
no subject
"That has to be difficult," he replied, so very much teasing. "Do you often get different urges based on where you are? Or is this purely just a Fandom thing?"

He was here for a bloody reunion. It wouldn't do too much harm for him to at least make an effort to be social. With his coat collar buttoned up to just under his nose, and his mind on just getting some bloody coffee into him.
"You have no idea how good that smells, this morning."
Come to think of it, he could have just gone to the Perk for this, too, with a fraction of the socialization. Bugger.

He could also just ask if maybe he could take one. But that would be too easy.

Come to think of it he'd never actually heard that voice. But it sounded like a certain telepathic 'voice' he hadn't heard...experienced... whatever... since Jono- the one from his world, not the one he'd gone to school with (and hadn't that been a gas to explain, the first time they'd met)- had that whole 'let me infiltrate Weapon X, it's totally a great idea' with Wolverine.
"Jono?" he squinted.
no subject
"Drake."
He didn't even turn around. Not just yet. He needed a moment to figure out just how bitter he was about things that were his own idiot fault in the first place.
"It's been a while."
A bit self-consciously, he moved his hand to hike that coat collar of his up just a little more.

Possibly due to a lack of coffee.
"I'm pretty sure I was not drunk enough last night to break into my old dorm room," he said. "So I'm just... putting this out there. Anyone else randomly wake up in their old dorms, too?"

He kind of envied the people who had woken up in the dorms. He doubted that George would have slapped him across the face, for a start.

He didn't remember anyone that looked quite like that back in high school.

"Muffiiiiiiiins," Claudia said in her best zombie impression. What, you thought 20 years would mature this woman?
