1st Floor Lobby/Safety Detention Zone - Sunday Evening

One thing about living in town like Eureka is that you learn to deal with the weirdness and try to come up with a solution.

After reading the news in the morning it didn't take much for Jack and Columbus to hatch a plot to help protect the populace of Fandom from themselves.

Which is why Jack had his collection of zip line plastic restraints and a very large sign in the lobby.

FREE SUSHI!
FREE COFFEE
FREE BOOZE
FREE BACON

Granted there wasn't a shortage of bacon but then again, who doesn't like bacon?

Behind the sign was a screened off area where supposed food items were.

[OCD is up!]

"I really want a soda," Petra said wistfully. "Still, we still have most of our food, and there's chocolate," she pointed out. "And avocado rolls." She popped one in her mouth.

Petra finished chewing and swallowed before answering. "Petra. What year are you in, Jack?"

Then she glanced toward the detention area. "...I'm pretty sure babies aren't supposed to glow?"

"No, it's--that's completely in keeping with this entire weekend," Petra said, glancing back over at the happy mother and child and kind of wishing she'd brought sunglasses. "I'm a junior, too. I'm actually running for Student Council, you might have seen the posters? But this probably isn't the time or place to campaign."
wasthecuteone: (do we have to go over this again)

"Well," Petra allowed, "for certain values of 'normal,' sure. But I'm sane!" That was what really counted here, wasn't it?
