The Roof, Saturday Morning

Using magic on the remaining bruises from the complete moron Phobos was the goal for the day. Ikol's advice on the matter had only been mildly helpful (mostly confusing) and so he was left to his own devices on it.

This would be so much more simple had his elder-self thought to keep his knowledge of magic perfectly intact. Ugh.

For now, he sat on the roof in just his normal clothing from Asgard, hood down as he focused. People here didn't seem to realize this was a remarkably mild winter. Barely even worthy of the name 'winter' at that.

Loki tilted his head, pretending to think it over. "So, you were just aimlessly wandering up here?"

"I thought I might get some air," Wesley said mildly. NOT THAT IT WAS ANY OF LOKI'S BUSINESS. GOD. "And yourself?"

It was entirely possible that Wesley was being sincere! Well, he wasn't, but it was possible!

"It is," Loki replied kindly. "Though I suppose this is an exercise in which I learn to live with disappointment like the rest."

"If it's any consolation, I was initially perturbed by the accomodations here as well," Wesley offered. "My first roommate was some sort of kleptomaniac, to my understanding." Not Kenzi. Another one. "One learns to adjust."

Loki stared. "I don't believe Dorothy is capable of theft without being caught."

The thought made him concerned, to be honest.

"Then I'm sure you'll be fine," Wesley said encouragingly.

Loki sighed, closing his eyes to focus again. "No advice for a new student?"

"Well," he said after a moment's thought, "that depends on what sort of home universe you've come from. I'll infer from your speech patterns that you're not from precisely present day?"

...well, he tried, anyway.

"Hmm." He thought that over, trying to detect any noticable accent in Loki's voice. And failing. La. "Well, ah. What sort of home world is it, then?"

Loki made a face at the mention of Alex. "The Ares-son hardly counts."

"Nothing! I was eating the violently orange puffs of cheese," Loki replied. Which wasn't entirely a lie. He didn't cause the Siege of Asgard. "And he punched me!"
