Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday evening

Bruce was watching cable news. Nothing but talk of financial meltdowns, political bickering, angry old people yelling at each other, and something about cute animals every fifteen minutes or so.

It wasn't terribly exciting or interesting or anything. It was exactly what the night called for. Because dear god, Bruce needed a quiet night in after the way his week had been going.

With that in mind, he was drinking water, eating some crackers, and wearing a plain black hoodie. Nothing exciting at all. This was a matter of willpower, and nobody had more willpower than Bruce Wayne.

Well, by definition any given Green Lantern probably did. But screw those guys, willpower wasn't even an emotion.

"I shoot it, with arrows," Firekeeper boasted. "There is none on this island as good as I at such." A beat, and then she amended: "Well, no. Is not quite true. Katniss also."

Yes, this week even talk of catching rabbits could get Bruce moving towards flirting.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your mindset), Firekeeper was quite oblivious to any sort of flirting attempts directed at her person, as uninterested in everything involved in sex as she was.

"It were where I growed up," she shared. "Not these exact woods, but not too different," she shrugged.

"It depend on many things," Firekeeper shared. "Harshness of seasons. If it rain a lot. If the woods is in mountains or someplace flat."

"It's probably an easy guess that you've spent more time in the woods than in towns, isn't it?" Bruce said. She certainly sounded like she knew a lot of what she was talking about.

Firekeeper nodded. "I do not know the exact numbers," she admitted. "But I have lived with humans only a short time compared to how long I live with wolves," she explained, with a nod towards Blind Seer.
