Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday evening

Bruce was watching cable news. Nothing but talk of financial meltdowns, political bickering, angry old people yelling at each other, and something about cute animals every fifteen minutes or so.

It wasn't terribly exciting or interesting or anything. It was exactly what the night called for. Because dear god, Bruce needed a quiet night in after the way his week had been going.

With that in mind, he was drinking water, eating some crackers, and wearing a plain black hoodie. Nothing exciting at all. This was a matter of willpower, and nobody had more willpower than Bruce Wayne.

Well, by definition any given Green Lantern probably did. But screw those guys, willpower wasn't even an emotion.

[OOC: Seriously, screw those guys.]

Actually, right now, Cara would argue that the fact there were no dead bodies in her wake as proof her willpower was stronger. "Bruce."

"Nothing important," Cara replied, lounging across the couch. It had been a while since she'd had a good lounge. "What about you?"

"Sounds boring," Cara said. "I'm sure there are plenty of better things you could be doing with your time." If he was stumped she'd be happy to help.

"This looks boring," Dany offered, sounding somewhat relieved as she padded into the common room. She had all three dragons with her, because they provided still more distraction, and kept her from running off to tap on certain people's doors. Or worse.

[identity profile] unburnt-queen.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
It was probably a good thing all around that she didn't know that. Or a bad thing. Perspective dependent.

"Oh, look. Something about that campaign I don't understand," Dany offered, gesturing to the television as she took a seat. "I'm not sure that there's anything better for my mood right now that looking at Ron Paul's face. Refreshing indeed."

"I've always been a clever learner," Dany replied with a tiny smile of her own as she pulled her three dragons into her lap. "This is a change from what I imagine has been on most screens this week. It wasn't a particularly challenging puzzle."

"Holy chiz you have dragons," was Freddie's greeting of choice.

He was staring, he couldn't help it.

[identity profile] unburnt-queen.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
"You've not seen them before?" Dany wondered, raising a brow at him. "Yes, hello, Freddie. This is Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal. They're all pleased to make your acquaintance."

Or they were sleeping and ignoring people.

[identity profile] randomspanish.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
"They're... they're dragons!" Freddie said, so eloquently. "This is so cool, I don't even know what else to say. That's like, umm, how did I not know you had dragons?"

Because you were an oblivious silly boy, Freddie. Mainly.

[identity profile] unburnt-queen.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
"I've had them all year," she said, laughing as she gently lifted them off her lap and wandered over with Drogon in her arms. "Would you like to pet him?"

[identity profile] randomspanish.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Freddie was having issue himself, and he'd gone for a walk to try and clear his head. He'd ended up in the common room and went to pour himself a glass of water.

"Anything exciting happening in the world?" he asked, when he saw the news broadcast.

[identity profile] randomspanish.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
"And I bet it's, like, a real debate and not hammers versus whipped cream," Freddie said.

He made a mental note to propose a random debate on Friday's iCarly.

"I always wondered how these guys actually... I mean, is it their whole job just to yell on TV?"

Firekeeper was frustrated. Not for the reason that most of the dorms seemed to be. Actually, the frustration was due to the fact that most of the dorms was frustrated about something that she really didn't- well, comprehend wasn't the right word, as she comprehended the concepts of being in heat and mating well enough. They just didn't apply to her, so she really had no frame of reference for what everyone else was feeling.

The entire building reeked of sex, though, which was somewhat irritating. Unfortunately there was only so much time she and Blind Seer could spend hunting in the Preserve. She'd caught and roasted a couple of rabbits in the firepit on the deck, and now she and Blind Seer were in search of a fridge with enough space to store the leftovers. Or someone who felt like snacking on some nice roasted rabbit. Either would work.

"Ah, hello," she greeted, when she found this particular common room occupied.

[identity profile] kestrelswolf.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Rabbit," she held it up so Bruce could see it in all its skinned, roasted glory. "You like?" she offered.

Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegal were all fairly well-behaved dragons, but when a wolf entered the same room as them and brought food, it was another story entirely.

Dany was going to be sporting a few scratches on her legs from where they'd leapt up, and was now watching the three scamper across the floor to Blind Seer and Firekeeper, their tongues flicking out in curiosity.

"Sorry," she said, though she was casting a careful eye over the wolf. "They're young, still."

[identity profile] kestrelswolf.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Firekeeper stiffened, slightly, as the dragons approached, her posture becoming somewhat more guarded. So too did Blind Seer. They'd only ever encountered one dragon before, and that encounter... had not exactly been a pleasant one.

Still, these seemed small, and surely they would not have been permitted in the dorms if they were not controllable. She wasn't about to assume 'harmless', because hello.

"Dragons?" she checked.

[identity profile] unburnt-queen.livejournal.com 2012-02-16 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes. They won't hurt you," Dany replied, holding her hands up in a placating gesture. "They're just attracted to the smell. I promise. You pose a far greater threat to them than they to you."
