It was warm enough to head to the beach but Percy wasn't feeling like walking all the way into town today. He still wanted to be in the water but the beach meant sand in his shoes and salt water in his eyes. Of course, chlorine wasn't much better but it was closer.

So, Percy took himself down to the pool and, after stripping down to his swimsuit, jumped in. He did a few lazy laps, just enjoying how being in the water immediately made him feel stronger and more at home. After those laps, he let himself sink down to the bottom of the pool.

And that's where he was now, just sitting cross legged on the bottom of the pool, having no problems with that whole breathing thing.

Son of Poseidon and all.

"Made up my ass!" Percy said, shaking his head. "Have you seen the old people that walk around New York? They are following all those rules."

"Whatever, I'll still be the exception," Luke decided. "You should come over here."

"Why?" Percy asked though he did float a little closer to Luke. "Gonna dunk me?"

"Would that even bother you at all?" Luke asked.

"It might!" No, it wouldn't. "But, I wanted to see what you'd say, mostly."

"I wouldn't dunk you," Luke said. "I don't see that ending well for me."

Percy came a little closer until he could rest his arms on the side of the pool. "It's nice to see you respect my strength around water. I feel a little...distinguished right now."

"Distinguished?" Luke repeated as he reached over to run his fingers through Percy's wet hair. "Not the word I expected you to pick. Powerful, maybe, since you could kick my ass right now if you wanted to."

He wasn't even ashamed of admitting it.

"Aww, does that mean you don't want a demonstration?" Percy teased lightly. "I'd give you one."

He wouldn't be that much of an ass, no.

"You can give me a demostration that doesn't involve drowning me," Luke said. "Does that work for you?"

"Please, drowning is so unoriginal," Percy said, waving a hand. "I'd do something more unique than to you."

"Yeah?" Luke replied, curious. "Like what?"

"Dump water on you until you were so pruney, you turned into a raisin," Percy decided.

"Yeah, I'm gonna veto that," Luke said. "But you should still show off. Come on, impress me."

"Are you asking me to do tricks like a trained dolphin?" Percy asked, amused.

"No, I'm asking you to show off," Luke said. "Maybe I find the all powerful thing hot."

"Do you find the powerful thing hot?" Percy outright asked.

Luke shrugged. "Yeah, I guess I do."

"When did that turn on happen?" Percy asked curiously.

"I'm not sure," Luke said. "I've seen various versions of you do a lot of incredible things. It's cool to see when it's not violently directed at me."

"Huh."

Percy looked a little intrigued by this.

"This is brand new information for me. Still don't know if I'm gonna show off but I've got an incentive now."

Luke smiled and ran his fingers through Percy's hair again. "I'm happy to hear that. Though I can't believe you of all people are being shy about showing off."

"Well, I don't know it it be expected," Percy said, shrugging. "I'd rather it be like...a surprise."

"Ah, I see," Luke said, sounding amused. "I guess I could see where that would benefit you, yeah. Not that turning me on wouldn't benefit you either."

"You saying I couldn't turn you on without the use of powers?" Percy asked curiously.
