3rd Floor Common Room | Friday Evening

Stiles didn't have any plans for the evening which was on par for a Stilinski Friday night. He was still trying to avoid going into town so his entertainment options were relegated to watching porn in his room or watching something that wasn't porn in the common room. Well actually he could do both, since watching porn didn't take all night. But he did eventually end up in the common room, watching a horror movie about frat boys who piss off an irradiated grizzly bear.

It was about as horrible as it sounded. Which would explain why Stiles was more focused on the (surprisingly unburnt!) popcorn he had made and answering the barrage of texts he kept getting.

Emily entered the room, readied a polite, proper and nice thing to say to Stiles, and then noticed the movie. In that order.

Whatever she was going to say was long forgotten.

"I thought only people from TV shows had a thing for watching purposely bad movies."

"What?" That was crazy logic. "People have been purposely watching bad movies since the 50's."

"No seriously, it's like a theme." She had seen this, and watching TV was one of these things Emily hadn't really stopped doing. "So apparently I've been hanging out with the wrong crowd."

And that was true in many ways.

"Or maybe you've been hanging out with the right crowd," Stiles said. "A crowd that doesn't watch TV on Friday nights."

"That's another way to see it. But maybe I'm more of a stay Friday nights watching TV kind of girl, who knows." No she wasn't, but that was not the point.

"You'll be in good company," Stiles said. "Hanging out in the common room is the hobby of most people here."

"So some people here probably have amazing superpowers but they cram all here and watch bad TV. Like for real."

Emily sighed, arms in the air for a moment. "I guess I found out what Fandom High is about!"

Stiles shrugged. "We're teenagers, we're supposed to be lazy."

Emily shot him a quick once over. "Excuse me, you don't look like a guy who just passes the day slouched on sofas watching bad TV. Maybe a lot of the time, but not all."

That could be seen as a compliment. "And I work out. A lot."

"Shows what you know, I'm completely lazy," Stiles said. "But I was exaggerating for everyone else. Most people around here work out. I've been told that I need to, but it seems like a lot of work."

Emily gave her a pat on the shoulder, smile ever present. "Maybe you should, but I guess you could look a lot worse." She wasn't even trying now. "But there is a lot of ways of working out. Lifting weights surely sounds like the manliest of them, but nobody has ever ended up worst for doing cardio, that's for sure."

"Because those TV shows are actually true rather than, like, Jersey Shore." Hello to you as well, Tony.

Emily clapped her hands together as if she had just thanked some merciful, understanding god. "And thanks for that right? The world is bad enough with a single Jersey Shore. I didn't think they were that close to reality though; Now I have to start looking for more similarities."

And probably lose her mind over how many she was likely to find in Fandom.

"I've been to Jersey and... well, it's not that bad." But it was still bad.

"But it's still bad huh?" She didn't miss a thing. Ever. "Glad to see you came back, and hopefully only moderately tanned."

"I detoxed in New York," Tony assured her. "There was pizza involved."

"Suddenly pizza overdose sounds like a really bad idea, in a good way." Emily needed to find out just how much people liked to over order in Fandom.

"Stick to the common rooms," Tony assured her. "You'll get all the fast food you can handle."

That made her smile widen. "That's seriously making me rethink my policy of going to party every single night." Which she would, if there was any place that looked like you could party around in the island.

"Not too much partying here," Tony replied with a laugh. "Don't let the whole 'bars serve minors' thing fool you."

"Been there, cool enough, not what I was thinking," replied Emily, also laughing because she had expected it to be...different. Caritas had been nicer than she had expected, and that niceness had been what had disappointed her, bars wise.

"I might have to check the mainland, but I still don't know my way around."

"Haven't really spent too much time on the mainland near the island," Tony admitted.

Emily nodded. "From here it seems like home, but who knows right? I'll probably go scouting during day on the weekend, I don't know." No running into questionable places without having seen them before, no sir. "You can tag along if you feel adventurous."

"I probably shouldn't. I got into some trouble last year when it came to going on island."

LIKE A HEART ATTACK.

"I'm thinking ten different explanations and all of them sound horrible, so I'm wondering if I want to press on the subject." She actually wanted to, but Emily wasn't about to ruin the good mood by gathering data on the students.

"Can you get like, suspended here?"
