Fifth Floor Common Room, ALL DAY (and Night) [Wednesday]

Having a single now was nice, since it meant Minako didn't have to try being tidy around another person, but it got really lonely really fast.

Hence the fact she'd taken over the common room, making a HUGE bowl of punch and setting out chips, boxes of pop, and (store-bought) cookies before digging around in the closet to find the mats to hook up DDR on the ~~meta for~~ XBox.

"Sweet!" she cheered, as she held up the guitar for a different game. "You can be later. Gotta warm up before rocking out!"

Oh yeah, Minako is the QUEEN and will challenge ANYONE to a game! But she's also happy to take a break and let other people square off against each other.

Minako has dragged her Wii and her tv over from her room and hooked them up on the other side of the common room, and she's got lots of ~~moddable~~ games. Pick one and ping in.

Got cards? Board games? Yeah, sure, come on in, clear off a surface, and start playing.

Minako with the Mostest! There's totally a few hand-made "Minako for StuCo!" posters up in the room, COVERED in glitter and bright colors, that Minako doodled a chibi-versions of herself on.

No ending the world on a Wednesday.

Liara was not a people person, and most days she preferred to recluse herself to her room. It had been many weeks since she had last done otherwise, however, and the commotion drew her out of her room at last.

She waffled at the edge of the fifth floor common room, trying to decide whether or not to enter. Returning to her book seemed like an enticing prospect.

"What's all this, then?"

Edward squinted at the large... nest. The word 'nest' jumped to mind.

Gwen could relate to the problem of having a single, which was why she was on the lookout for people to hang out/be kind of coolly antisocial with.

"Does this school have surprise parties a lot, or...?"

"Games!" Minako enthused from her game of DDR, her feet never ceasing their movement as she . "And, like, cookies and pop and stuff, but games! The week is half over, that's totally a reason for a party, right?"

"Week is half-over. That means it's totally time for a party," Minako answered. It probably would have been cooler if she hadn't been in the process of shoving a cookie in her mouth.

Gwen considered this, and shrugged. "Good enough for me," she said. "Was this your idea?"

Minako was in the process of setting up food, and waved the other person in. "Hope you're not vegan!" she said cheerfully. "I mean, there's not meat in the cookies or anything, but there's eggs!"

"Yeah, my roommate split and while a single is awesome and everything, it gets boring fast. Especially since I can't try to kick his butt at Halo instead of doing homework," Minako admitted. "So, when in doubt, party!"

"Why are you stomping about like that?" Edward said, because her explanation didn't make a lick of sense, actually.

But so did very little 'round here, so he was happy to let her explain it.

"I am not... vegan," Liara said. She'd apologize for the pause, but... she hadn't been around humans enough of late, clearly. "But thank you for asking. What is the cause of this celebration?"

While Gwen wasn't totally used to blue people, she was definitely assuming this girl was just a mutant.

"Apparently we're having a party," Gwen said helpfully, waving her in.

Barry skipped the food but grabbed some punch and flopped on the couch. He had time to kill before he headed to the docks and an impromptu party seem to fit the bill.

"At least the TV is back to fucking normal," he noted.

"It's a dancing game," she repeated cheerfully, pointing at the screen. "See, it lights up and tells me where I should step on the pad. I have to try and keep the beat, get my footing right, and not fall over when it gets super fast and complicated. It's totally all about dexterity!"

"I... saw," Liara said, startled somewhat. "I had wondered about the reason for this... party."

Given that her room wasn't far from the common room, it was pretty hard to miss the sounds of a party getting started.

"Woah, hey," she said, wandering right on in. "What's the occasion?"

"It's Wednesday, apparently," Gwen said. "I don't know, either, but there's free food so I'm gonna go with it."

"That works," she said. "I got put in a single when I got here. It's nice, but yeah, I'm finding people to bug a lot."

Darn, she just had to go to a lot of common rooms, woe.

Yeul had been making her slow-and-steady way up to the roof but the sounds of a party drew her attention and so she found herself lingering in the doorway, trying to decide if she felt like staying or going.
