4th floor common room- Wednesday after classes

Yesterday's class had gotten pretty ridiculous, and because Gwen was a totally rational person who felt like she should have been granted sainthood somewhere around hour five of the discussion, today there was gonna be a party.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen! There'd been hastily-photocopied flyers put up around the dorms this morning to advertise (and warn anyone who didn't want to stumble into it). Gwen had taken advantage of the pizza place's weird fixation on giving extra food and so there was plenty in the kitchen, there were (non-alcoholic) drinks and popcorn, and there was nothing but moddable dirty movies on the TV. There was plenty of room, come and stay as long as you want!

That's what she said.

(But don't actually do that, ew.)

[Open, and this is me trying to keep your flists clean at work! Can't guarantee the comments will be worksafe, though. You can miss the flyers if you'd like to innocently stumble in anyway, and also feel free to bring your own movies.]

"Is it?" Travis asked, not doubting her but amused all the same. "What have you learned so far?"

"That people are a lot bendier than I thought, if these are average specimens," Celia quipped, though her cheeks heated up a little bit. "Apparently something happened in a class yesterday so this is...supplemental to that."

"A practical demonstration or something to prove a point," Travis said, nodding. "The best part of these movies is the titles. They're pretty horrible but in the best possible ways. That and the names the actors and actresses sometimes take on as their stage names."

"'Dirk Spankalicious,'" Celia read off of one of the boxes, since he'd brought her attention to the name thing. "Good lord. I suppose using your real name would be problematic, but what's the point of a pseudonym when your face is visible?"

Amongst other body parts.

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe they don't think their mom or dad or wife of husband isn't going to be checking out their dirty, dirty deeds?" Travis suggested. "Or maybe they just don't care and want an awesome name like Dirk Spankalicious or Snowy Peaks."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe it's their actual name, and we're being terribly cruel," Celia suggested with a solemn nod. "Mr. and Mrs. Peaks must be quite proud."

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"Could be," Travis said though he really didn't think so. "Snowy is a pretty new age-y name, I guess. Could be a kid of hippies or something. Snowy Mountain Peaks or something like that."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Which would explain why she made such a career choice," Celia said, nodding more. "She's acting out against parents who named her something so ridiculous."

Probably not.

"I have heard that some of them make some pretty decent money," Travis said and don't ask him how he knew that. "Maybe the living's good for Snowy Mountain Peaks."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm not surprised," Celia said, huffing out a little breath. "I'd charge quite a bit to do that, too." She nodded to the screen. "Imagine the sheer stretching needed."

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"You think you'd ever wanna do something like this?" Travis asked before hurriedly adding, "I'm not asking personally. Just curious."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Celia arched a brow at him, smiling very slightly even as her cheeks heated up. "Do you mean on film and for profit, or in general?" she asked. "Because there's two different answers there."

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"In general," Travis said because that sounded like the safest answer. "So, you can pick what you'd like to answer."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"With the right person, yes," Celia answered easily enough, looking back at the screen. "Perhaps not in that position to start, though, because that looks...advanced."

She wasn't sure if her legs even did that.

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"I honestly don't know if I would," Travis said, thinking about it semi seriously. "I'd probably get performance anxiety and that wouldn't make for a great movie."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"I wasn't thinking anyone would watch it after the fact," Celia said, making a face in alarm. "I mean, can you imagine the faces non-actors would make during something like this? It can't be attractive."

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"Even knowing that no one would be watching, just the fact that it might be on camera somewhere would be enough to weird me out," Travis said. "Doesn't take much for that to happen."

[identity profile] pasunereveuse.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm speaking from an utter lack of experience," Celia admitted. "This is my first time seeing something like this."

She paused, and figuring that at this point she probably ought to introduce herself, added a little wave and a, "Celia, by the way."

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"Travis," he said, waving back. "And while I might have been exposed to this before, I'm definitely don't do it on a regular basis."

The being dead for five years thing put a kink in that.

"Apparently it's rampant if you spend any time at all on the internet," Celia noted. "Which both makes me want to explore the internet more out of curiosity and also avoid it, because I'd hate to be surprised."

[identity profile] theheadkid.livejournal.com 2014-10-01 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, be careful on the internet," Travis said because he knew that much. "Even the most innocent of searches can yield some very not so innocent results."
