4th floor common room- Wednesday after classes

Yesterday's class had gotten pretty ridiculous, and because Gwen was a totally rational person who felt like she should have been granted sainthood somewhere around hour five of the discussion, today there was gonna be a party.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen! There'd been hastily-photocopied flyers put up around the dorms this morning to advertise (and warn anyone who didn't want to stumble into it). Gwen had taken advantage of the pizza place's weird fixation on giving extra food and so there was plenty in the kitchen, there were (non-alcoholic) drinks and popcorn, and there was nothing but moddable dirty movies on the TV. There was plenty of room, come and stay as long as you want!

That's what she said.

(But don't actually do that, ew.)

"A girl in Sex Ed went on for days about how terrible it is even though she'd never seen one and I got annoyed. So she challenged me to set something up," Gwen explained, gesturing to the TV. "Now no one has an excuse. It's a public service, really."

"Huh." Travis rubbed a hand over his scar and then peeked back at the TV. There were some definite acrobatics going on right now. He didn't even know people were that flexible. "Guess I know not to try and challenge you because you'll call bluffs all day. You just randomly pick a selection of movies or go with the ones with the cheesiest titles?"

No one should ever challenge Gwen, really. It'd never end well.

"I know zero about this, so I just went with the best names, yeah," she admitted. "This way it's a surprise for everybody, including me."

"Whoever got to see this movie order probably wondered where all the porn was going and if she or he could be invited," he joked, crossing his arms. Fidgeting was a thing to do when you didn't know how to really react to sex sounds as background noises. "It'd either have to be for a real fun party or for someone who's real fan of porn."

"I'm positive anyone in charge of stuff like that has seen way worse," Gwen said, tilting her head a little at the screen. "I did not know that was anatomically possible."

Travis glanced at the screen and then turned his head a bit, tried to turn it a little more and then winced.

"Ow. I think I just pulled a muscle," he said, making a face. "I could never do this sort of thing. One, I'd just giggle. Two, I'd end up riddled with broken bones from trying to bend and stretch like that. Three, I could never think up an awesome name."

"First pet and the street you grew up on," Gwen replied immediately.

"Uh."

Travis had to think about that one.

"Teddy Greenbrier," he finally remembered and then made yet another face. "I sound like a banker."

Gwen made a face. "Maybe try the second street you lived on?"

"Teddy Blackstone." He nodded. "See, now I'm a cool jazz singer!"

"We'll workshop this," Gwen decided. "Stop living on normal streets."

"And what would your name be?" Travis asked since his names were terrible and boring.

"I've never had a pet, so that screws me right there," Gwen said. 'I'd have to start from scratch."

"So, what about another name game for you?" Travis proposed. "Name of one of your stuffed animals plus the name of your first street?"

"Do I look like the kind of girl who has stuffed animals?"

By which she meant that if she had them, she would never admit to naming them.

"I try not to make assumptions based on appearances," Travis said, snickering at that reaction. "So, if stuffed animals are out how about name of your elementary school plus first street name?"

"I'd sound like a dude. Which, I mean, to each their own but I don't think that'd work for me," Gwen said.

"You're not making this easy," Travis laughed, shaking his head. "Fine, you can just be Gray Walls O'Doom."

That was just off the top of his head and using recent events.

Gwen frowned. "I'm reading that really dirty and I'm not sure I should be."

"How are you reading that really dirty?" Travis asked, genuinely confused and laughing. "It's a ridiculous name. Unless you're associating walls with something else entirely."

"It's possible I've been watching too much of this," Gwen said, because oh god she didn't want to explain how it might sound dirty.

"I'm gonna be thinking about this now," he said, tapping the side of his head, "and I'm sure it'll come to me, why it's dirty and then I'll feel like a heel."
