4th floor common room- Wednesday after classes

Yesterday's class had gotten pretty ridiculous, and because Gwen was a totally rational person who felt like she should have been granted sainthood somewhere around hour five of the discussion, today there was gonna be a party.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen! There'd been hastily-photocopied flyers put up around the dorms this morning to advertise (and warn anyone who didn't want to stumble into it). Gwen had taken advantage of the pizza place's weird fixation on giving extra food and so there was plenty in the kitchen, there were (non-alcoholic) drinks and popcorn, and there was nothing but moddable dirty movies on the TV. There was plenty of room, come and stay as long as you want!

That's what she said.

(But don't actually do that, ew.)

"I think most people call it that," Alana clarified, tapping a finger on her lips. "Or you can call it oral sex, but that's for guys too, or cunnilingus -- and I've never said that out loud before so I probably said it wrong -- if you're being fancy." Alana saw no reason to be fancy.

"But yeah, knowing it exists in theory is totally different from watching it for real." A pause. "Also, I wouldn't call what they're doing loving."

"Loving in only the very most euphemistic sense," Celia agreed, tilting her head. She was building quite the little list of words to look up when she was done watching this. "I didn't even know half this stuff existed in theory, even."

Celia had thought herself rather un-sheltered, for her time. Today was quite eye-opening.

"Not like I'm some sex expert, but I think a lot of it only exists in movies like this," Alana said, after a sip of soda. "So it's not like not knowing about it hurts anything."

"But now knowing about it is quite eye-opening," Celia said, nodding. "I mean, I thought I was quite enlightened for my time but I didn't know you could do that in that position."

Pause.

"...or use one of those that way, either."

Alana looked at the screen and her eyes widened. "Okay, that is a new one on me. Wouldn't it hurt?"

The woman on the TV was screaming, but it wasn't supposed to be in pain.

"It looks like it would, but what do I know?" Celia admitted. "Maybe you...get used to it?"

She did not think she would ever get used to that, but perhaps she was just being close-minded.

"Maybe. Probably it's easier to get used to when people are paying you for it," Alana theorized.

"When one has an end goal in mind, one can endure anything, I suppose," Celia noted, frowning a little. "And...you know, maybe she likes it? I don't think I would, but this is clearly meant for some audience, so someone out there must enjoy it, right?"

"She might," Alana nodded. "In class some people were saying they were desperate or on drugs, but I don't think that's all it is. Exhibitionism is a thing, right?"

And there was another possibly-new word for Celia.

It was -- though much like 'cunnilingus,' this one had roots she could trace that would at least help with what the meaning was.

"More power to her, then, if it's that," Celia said, wrinkling her nose a little. "I can barely wear a swimsuit in public, I can't imagine wanting to do something like this."

"I could maybe be a stripper," Alana said thoughtfully. "Not as a dream job or anything, but as a fast way to make a lot of money. But this -- no way. My dad could see it."
