the roof; saturday afternoon

It was such a quaint place Chase had ended up in. It was a tiny speck of an island, filled with people that seemed to smile at him as he passed. They obviously had no idea who he was. Or what he was. It was hilarious. Apparently, his fellow Sons of Ipswich had run off like the cowards they were.

Again, it was hilarious.

Chase was sitting on the ledge of the roof, feet hanging off and tight smile directed at the people below him. Just one flick of his hand, one nod of his head and he could crush them all. But, that might be a bit messy and he did love to have fun with his friends before he killed them. Even if Caleb wasn't around and therefore, couldn't will Chase his powers, Chase figured he'd compromise.

And if that failed, he'd just kill people. That always took the edge off for a little while. Maybe he'd finish this island off before setting off to find Caleb and his friends. It'd be good...practice.

Ygritte had woken up in a strange room (in a room at all) without her weapons and with no idea where she was and had bolted for the highest ground she could find immediately, which had turned out to be a roof.

She'd spent her time gazing wild-eyed over the terrain and searching for something she could use as a weapon.

"Who are you?" she demanded, clutching a rock in her hand.

Chase turned at the sound of the voice and smiled widely at the murderous looking girl with the rock in her hand. So amusing.

"You gonna hit me with a rock?" he asked, ignoring her question. "That wouldn't be very nice, you know. We could use our words. Be friends. Make love, not war."

[giveherahand]

She narrowed her eyes. "You didn't answer my question. Are you from beyond the Wall? What are you called?"

[flickofthewrist]

"I'm called Chase and I've broken down a lot of walls in my time," he said, swinging one leg over the ledge so a leg was on either side of the ledge now. "That answer your question? You gonna drop the rock now so we can be friends?"

[giveherahand]

Ygritte wasn't putting down her rock just yet. "I don't have friends."

[flickofthewrist]

"First time for everything," he said, eyes glinting gold because god this movie was terrible before going back to their normal color. "I'm a good friend to have. The best, in fact. I can do so many things."

[giveherahand]

Ygritte's eyes went wide. "Your eyes changed."

[flickofthewrist]

Flick waggled his eyebrows at her. "Did they? That's just one of the many things I can do. Who are you? Don't think I know you yet."

[giveherahand]

It was probably not the wisest choice to give him her real name, but Ygritte was bold, not wise. "Ygritte," she replied.

She still had the rock, she assured herself.

"Why don't you drop that rock, Ygritte?" Chase asked, beckoning her closer to him. "I'm harmless."

What a lie.

"Make love, no war. That's my motto." It wasn't.

[giveherahand]

"You know nothing," Ygritte told him. "War will be made regardless. As the Starks are so fond of saying, winter is coming."

Super helpful, Ygritte.

"I know many things," Chase said easily, smirking at her. "War can come, if it wants to. I'll destroy everything and make them lay at my feet. It'll be easy."

So much oozing ego.

[giveherahand]

Eeew, he was so creepy. And weirdly hot. But mostly creepy.

"Oh, so you have experience in battle?"

Isabelle just felt like taking a breather, and the roof seemed like a nice enough place for that.

Seeing who was up there already, it seemed even better. "Hey there," she called out.

[flickofthewrist]

"Hey there," Chase echoed, not having a clue who she was but deciding he could get his quota of niceties for the moment.

"Enjoying your weekend?" she asked, coming closer to ledge.

[flickofthewrist]

"Oh, I'm sure it could be better," he said smoothly, glancing out at the town. "But, I'm content for now. Maybe later, that'll change."

He tapped his fingers on the ledge and eyed her up and down thoughtfully.

Isabelle smirked at him. Like she often tended to do.

"I'm sure I could make it better," she said. "I'm pretty good at that."

People here were so friendly! Chase didn't know where he'd landed but he was finding he liked it.

"Oh, is that so?" He beamed cheekily at her. "And how are you going to do that?"

Maybe girls and flirting and sex weren't his top priority but he wasn't going to pass that sort of thing up, either.

She snickered. "Maybe I'd take you out for a good meal," she suggested, mostly joking. "Been a while since we last went out."

[flickofthewrist]

"It has been awhile, hasn't it?" Chase had no idea how long it'd been. He was just amused at this stupid girl's words. "Lucky you, I'd let you take me out. I'm very giving in that way."

[seveninchmotto]

"Please," Isabelle snorted, raising an eyebrow at him. "You'd be the lucky one. We both know that."

[flickofthewrist]

Chase pretended to think about it before he shook his head. "No. I don't grant dates to just anyone. You'd be thanking me by the end of the night. Maybe I'd make it worth your while."

[seveninchmotto]

Oh, that eyebrow was creeping even higher up now. "'Just anyone'?"

Really, now.

"Within reason," Chase clarified. "I don't do uglies."

So nice.
