Third Floor Common Room, Friday evening

The power was still out, it was still cold, and there was something in the air. Johnny could do something about two of those things in the common room, adding a little more light and heat to the room by letting flame dance across his shoulders. Granted, being in public when he was feeling slightly hornier than usual was probably a bad idea.

But whatever, he could entertain himself without hooking up with anyone. Not like that. Don't be gross. He was making shadow puppets on the wall. Right now he was doing deformed rabbit. It was his favorite.

Raven had spent a good half an hour up on the roof, a very cold and very windy version of a cold shower. It had almost worked, right up until she walked by the common room and saw Johnny sitting around just being casually on fire.

Dammit, Johnny.

"Do you have any idea how that looks?" She tried for angry. And really, really missed.

"I'm guessing 'hot,'" Johnny said. He immediately started to remind himself that he had a girlfriend, because Raven was looking extra good tonight. Maybe it was the lighting? "But that's always the case with me. How's it going, Raven? Finding ways to beat the cold?"

"You never get tired of that pun, huh." Raven sighed. "Though it's definitely accurate. In all its levels." She sat down in a chair a good distance from Johnny, both to better admire his fine, fire lined form and to avoid the temptation to sit in his lap. "I do alright in the cold. I am missing the electricity, though."

"Looks like you're doing better than just alright from where I'm sitting," Johnny said. He really hoped that where he was sitting was far enough away right now. "I can die my flame out if it makes you uncomfortable. Some people get a little weird around people on fire."

"I think it's really neat," Raven said. "I love how you can just sit and hang out that way." Why yes, someone was extra turned on by blatant displays of powers. What's your point?

"I'd show off a little more, but I'm not sure how inflammable this couch is," Johnny said. Also, he shouldn't be showing off for girls. That was a bad idea. "You'll just have to deal with getting to see my face. In super dramatic lighting, too."

Oh, she'd noticed the dramatic lighting. Everything was all warm lighting and flickering shadows, and the way the flame on his shoulders dramatized his cheekbones. . . .

She was going to have to go back up to the roof, wasn't she.

Raven licked her lips. "Mmm. I don't know how I'll make it through."

"I'm sure you'll find some way to deal," Johnny said. "You seem like the resourceful type."

He wasn't entirely sure what he was suggesting there. There were several options and he was trying not to think about any of them.

"I have my moments." He'd be astounded what sorts of new and fun shapes she found for her fingers when she was sure Amy wasn't going to come back to the room for a little while. "Have you and your girlfriend been enjoying the cozy atmosphere?"

She was mostly asking to remind herself that Johnny was taken.

Johnny appreciated that reminder, too. Although at this point getting another girl into his head wasn't going to be helpful. That just made the pictures in his head more creative. "I haven't actually seen her today. I should probably change that before the end of the night. To make sure she's not cold, of course."

"You should definitely make sure she's nice and cozy," Raven said. She was maybe picturing something along the same lines as Johnny was.

"I'll try my best. And I doubt I'll have any complaints," Johnny said. He wanted very badly to suggest that Raven could join them for, you know, extra body heat or whatever the best excuse would be. But that wasn't really something to drop on your girlfriend. So he had to behave. "I just hope that this blizzard stuff clears up soon so I can be all nice and cozy because I want to, not because I need to for warmth."

He said that because he didn't know what pollen would be doing to him for the next week. Boy was he going to need that kind of coziness.

"Plus, it'll mean we can get out into town for dates." And toys. Raven was maybe going to be buying out all the stock at 'Dite's this week.

"That's true. Although the best dates are just going to end up back here anyway," Johnny said. Was his mind slightly more one track than usual? Yes. Yes, it was. "Do you have a date for tomorrow? I'm not asking. Just professional curiosity."

"I'm keeping my options open," Raven said. Seriously. There were so many hot people at this school.

"Well, if you take any of those options, I think they'll be extremely lucky," Johnny said. It was his way of complimenting Raven for doing crazy things to his brain tonight without even trying. He felt sorry for anyone she might actually try to pick up, based on tonight. They'd stand no chance.

Damn right, they wouldn't. She was also super flexible.

"Thanks," Raven said, giving him a bright smile. "Your girlfriend is very lucky, too. But I'm pretty sure she must already know that."

"I do what I can to remind her that I'm a catch," Johnny said, shining up some faux modesty that wasn't even that modest. "But let me tell you, she gives it just as good as she gets it." He was talking about luck. Oversharing about it, really. Be more appropriate, Johnny.

Now now, he was just giving more fuel to Raven's new found threesome kink. She bit her lower lip. "I'll bet she does."
