Sixth Floor Common Room, Saturday evening

There was a sign that said "NO BOYS ALLOWED" on the entrance, but how harshly that would be enforced would probably be dependent on how tolerant said Boys were of manicures, rom-coms, make-up, hairstyle fun, and jumping into the ball pit.

After a week like the last one, a little girl-bonding seemed needed.

Cecil peeked his head just barely in the door. "No boys? Really?"

Hanna looked up with a snicker, all dark eyes and no lipstick now. "You can come in if you don't mind make-up and popcorn. And watching a girl's sports movie," she said, a little shy. "I'm Hanna."

"Hi!" Cecil grinned and came in, relieved. "That sounds like fun. I'm Cecil." He stuck out his hand. "Oh! You've just done your nails; never mind!"

"They are pretty wet right now," Hanna agreed with a small laugh. "And sharp. I didn't think about that, when I was filing them to points. I may have to practice handshakes once they're dry."

"Oh, that would be helpful," Cecil agreed. "You wouldn't want to accidentally stab someone. I wonder how people with claws do it?"

"Maybe they wear gloves?" Hanna made a face, then waved at the make-up. "Would you like to try some? I think Sparkle looks good with eyeliner on. We have extra."

"Sure! I've done a bit for being on stage. It's not bad except for being sort of...goopy."

"Or dusty," Hanna agreed, holding up the blush again. "And some of it is itchy. But I do like the sparkly ones in spite of that... you act?"

"Oh, just high school and a little bit of community stuff. I played Pippin in South Pacific once!" Okay, so he was still terrified proud of that. It really had been an experience. "Glittery stuff is always good, though!"

"I don't know that play-- but I don't know many," Hanna admitted. She grinned. "I could put it on you! I'm learning how, but I need the practice."

"Sure!" Cecil grinned back. "I'll sit very still, promise."

"Purple?" Hanna offered, getting out the darkest shadow there was. It seemed very Cecil, somehow.

"Purple is great!"

The daring bone structure!

Hanna smoothed lotion on his eyelids, then liberally applied the purple up to his eyebrows. "You should have mascara or longer lashes for this, I think."

Cecil laughed. "Well, I don't think I can grow them to order, so maybe mascara?"

Or he could try. He never had before; you never knew!

"It's a rule!" Raven declared. "We're having a proper girl party." She tilted her head. "But you could be an honorary girl, I guess."

[voiceoverdue]

"I have a very pretty dress, which some people think is girly?" Cecil shrugged. "But I don't mind being an honorary one! It's much less confusing than being a real one. Oh, not for you!" he hastily corrected. "I'm sure it's awesome if you are a girl, but when you're not expecting it? It's really confusing."

Because boobs. Cecil had no idea what to do with boobs!

Raven remembered. "I like being a girl," she said. "I actually have fun as a boy sometimes, too. But I think I'm kind of an exception."

"Maybe? But it sounds like fun!" Cecil grinned at her.

"So much fun," Raven said. "I even turned into a boy for the kissing game last week. Just to see what kissing when I was a boy was like."

"Was it any different?" Cecil asked curiously.

"It was mostly the same," Raven admitted. "But the tingle was lower."

"Oo, interesting!" Cecil shrugged. "I suppose I could try to kiss ♥Carlos♥ when the island makes me a girl, but...well, girl. I'm not sure if he'd be interested."

"Well that's silly," Raven decided. "If he loves you, what does it matter if you're a girl for a few days?"

"He'd still be interested in me, but maybe not as interested in girl-me physically?" Cecil shrugged, not sure he could put it in words.
