There was a sign that said "NO BOYS ALLOWED" on the entrance, but how harshly that would be enforced would probably be dependent on how tolerant said Boys were of manicures, rom-coms, make-up, hairstyle fun, and jumping into the ball pit.

After a week like the last one, a little girl-bonding seemed needed.

Jalian looked Hanna over. "She is much paler, but I go to chalk in the summer, so maybe?"

Raven shook her head. "That's so trippy, the way you go pale in the sun. You should learn how to work both looks."

Jalian looked at her curiously. "What do you mean?"

[tigerundercover]

"Wear the stuff that works with a pale look in the summer when you get lots of sun, and stuff that really pops on darker skin in the winter."

"Ah, I see." Jalian nodded. She shrugged. "I mostly just wear white. Or jeans."

[tigerundercover]

"White's good," Raven said. "Especially in contrast with a darker skin tone." It looked great on Raven when she was blue, for instance. "But don't you ever want to bust out the colors? You could do little accents of them at least, bright earrings or a really bold lip."

"I have bold lips," Jalian answered cheekily. No, not all the flirting had been pollen-induced!

Raven would hope not! "I don't doubt it. But if you wear a bright color on them, then you can let other people know that without saying it."

"I've seen other women wearing that. It looks strange to me." Jalian tried to picture wearing it herself, and couldn't.

"Strange can be good," Raven said. She shifted to her natural shape. "That's what people around here are always telling me."

Jalian smiled. "But your strange is beautiful! I think I would just look awkward."

[tigerundercover]

"How would you know if you don't try it?"

[kenselvren]

Jalian shrugged, though she still looked doubtful. "I suppose."
