2nd Floor Common Room, Thursday
First had been the conversation with Hyacinthe, then with Isabela and Dante, and now Ada was hard at work in the little kitchen of the second floor common room, with baking sheets strewn around and the oven going at a steady 350 degrees. Sugar, food coloring, honey powder, luster dust... a veritable mad scientist lab set-up with everything she needed to make up little baggies of totally edible glitter.
Sometimes a girl didn't always have the spare cash to buy the fancy stuff, and so Ada had learned early how to make it herself. Besides, it was good to practice so that she wouldn't forget how to mix it up, and maybe the island just needed a little bit more sparkly cheer.
[OOC: Open, yes, and with tasty glitter for all.]

He wandered into the common room sometime into the afternoon, a small bunny in his arms. "Glitter time, huh? Sparkly."
no subject
Wait, was that-- "Dante! Put that baby bunny back where its mama can find it!"

"You need a break from bunny-sittin' you let me know," she said, offering Roscoe her fingers to sniff. "An' I got fresh vegetables in th' fridge if'n he ain't ate today."

Maybe he should dump Roscoe on Ada and go back home. But that would mean going back home, and the idea of lingering in Limbo City was a lot more appealing while he was actually there than when he had to make an actual decision to go back to that hellhole.

Ish.
Good enough for him, anyway.
He found a container with Ada's name on it and pulled it open, snagging the lettuce inside. He tossed some towards Roscoe.

She'd told him about her home, Ada wanted to hear about Dante starting to build his.

The timer went off and Ada set down her mixing to grab an oven mitt and pull out a baking tray filled with glittering blue sugar.

Red, maybe.
no subject
She set down the tray of blue and slipped the red into the oven, setting the timer again.

But hey, he was trying.

"A chance to paint you up in kiss-a-carnie golds and reds? I might enjoy that," she admitted. "When you want t' sparkle, you just let me know."

"An' maybe this time I get to see a bit more of your carnival, too."

Dante probably shouldn't be going back to fucking Limbo City voluntarily.
But in some sick, twisted way, it was home, and he'd been adrift for a while now. "You can't beat me," he said merrily, "But you can try. Just let me know when."
no subject
"Poke me next time you decide to go check on your place an' I'll tag along," she decided. "An' I can too beat you."
No she couldn't. Ada was terrible at arcade games; the controls hurt her hand-webs if she tried playing for too long.
"Got anything interestin' planned for the rest of your week?"
no subject
Dante shook his head. "Just waiting till this kid turns back," he said. "Might crash a wedding on the weekend. There'll be free booze."

He tossed Roscoe another leaf of lettuce. "Think we can find one small enough?"
no subject
She was drawing the line at a coat with tails, though, even if it would be punny. Roscoe would still be the most dapper bunny there.
"'M already making some garters to hide the knives that 'Bela got me, makin' a tiny bow tie ain't no problem."

For once, Not Dirty. Mostly.

"Yeah, that's our Iz all right," Dante said. He wandered towards the couch and collapsed on it. "Never really seen her fight, though."
no subject
"I ain't seen her fight, but she throws beautifully."

Not the girl who could breathe underwater.
"I've had enough trouble, thanks. 'M gonna go in th' opposite direction."
