4th Floor Common Room, Wednesday

Uma had been sent flowers. Yeah, she'd gotten them hours ago, but she still didn't know why she'd gotten them. Or what to do with them. This was the first time she'd seen real flowers, never mind had any of her own.

Flowers needed...water, right? Yeah, that sounded good. She was just going to bang around the common room, looking for a cup or something big enough to hold her...stripey, purple flowers (what kind of flowers were they? Not-roses was the only guess she had) and hope that they didn't die while she looked for something appropriate to put them in.

How fast did flowers die, exactly? Why didn't school teach this kind of stuff?!

[Open! I have no work today!]

Those all seemed like pretty Norman things to Sidon. Of course, they were pretty normal things for...most people, but he could definitely picture Norman doing them, so his head bobbed along in agreement until he was thoroughly distracted by the rest of what she said. "Oh," he sighed longingly, his hand stretched across his chest, "to have been brought by the ocean! I myself came by the shuttle, which was quite an...interesting experience, I must admit. We have nothing like that back home in Hyrule; why, the closest thing I can think of is perhaps the Divine Beasts, but, and I do mean this in the kindest way possible, the shuttle is not even remotely as remarkable. I hope that doesn't sound rude! I am glad for the experience, but I think I would have enjoyed swimming in or riding the tides into the shore much better. Of course, my heart grows weary of being on dry land so much, thus making the prospect immediately appealing to me, but I have to say, I simply cannot wait for the weather to warm again. The oceans here are incredibly wonderful; I could swim for hours out there! Marvelous!"

If Sidon had eyebrows, one would be arching at the moment. Since he did not, he just sort of tilted his head. "What sort of uhhh, everything was it? I cannot imagine it was good if you were rendered so incapacitated by it! But how fortuitous that the ocean would lead you here all the same!"

While he didn't think he could be very supportive of the villainy bits, Sidon was always down for an adventurous tale. "Fantastic!" he said. "How thrilling! To have gone through all that and to have survived to stand here to tell me about it! What a daring and brave endeavor! Though, I must ask...and please do tell me if I overstep my boundaries with this inquiry...but what inspired you to take the king hostage so?"

He tried to imagine someone trying to take his own father hostage, and he had to admit, the thought amused him and put a faint smile on his face. If anyone had managed to pull it off, he'd be more impressed than anything else.
