The Deck; Sunday Afternoon [11/25].
The weather that day was actually fairly nice, not really terribly cold at all, and, having pretty much resigned himself to the idea that winter was going to stick around for good, Sidon was going to take advantage of it. He felt like he kept saying that there weren't many more days like this left, only to be then offered another one, and he was certainly not going to complain.
He was also not going to do much while outside on the desk, but that was par for the course. He was mostly just going to enjoy it, enjoy the view, and do some thinking. He did, after all, have an awful lot to think about, but first and foremost in his mind, today at least, was how the semester would be ending soon. There's be a winter break before the next one, and it seemed like an awful long time since he'd planned a trip home with his friends. And he had quite a few new friends (and some old ones that hadn't been on the list last time) that should get a chance to see Hyrule, and get away from the cold weather.
...if it ever really showed up.
...he was perfectly fine if it didn't.

... It was probably for the best that nobody else at the table had been able to see Grandma.
Now that he was back, Norman mostly just wanted to be around people, and so he'd dumped his things in his room, pulled on his hoodie, and gone looking around the dorms until, finally, success.
"Hey, Sidon," he greeted, flopping into one of the chairs, a small handful of comic books under one arm. "How goes things?"

He had been able to come back! That was the important part.
"It was good to see them again, I mean. That part went well."
He'd missed his grandma. Her pep talks were the best.

"It's not actually a big deal," he admitted. "I think my mother is convinced I'm about to turn to a life of crime, and my dad's pretty sure I already have."
... Well, technically, Norman...

It was a stinkin' cute tattoo, though.

"So-so," he sighed. "I did try to get into the clothing shop instead of making a run back for the dorms."
Which in hindsight, yes, he was perfectly capable of recognizing as dumb.

"I suppose," he said, "that is likely one thing I'll not have to worry about should I ever wind up turning into an animal and change back in the middle of the street."
Granted, he always imagined if he changed into an animal, he would be far from the street and stuck in the water somewhere, but one never could tell with these sorts of things.

This didn't mean he was going to go streaking through Zora's Domain or anything, though.

"But speaking of Zora's Domain and of being here, or, rather, perhaps not being here for a short spell of time, I was actually thinking about arranging another trip back to my homeworld over the upcoming break. Do you think you might be interested in another invitation, Norman?"
no subject
"Your world is pretty amazing," he replied. Because dragon, okay? "I think it would be pretty silly of me to say anything but of course, I'd love to go."

Or a very sad, dehydrated, extra large one.

But Sidon had to laugh, because, while he imagined that it actually wouldn't be difficult for most male Zora to masquerade as some sort of vai, he liked to think that his distinctive royal lineage afforded him some undeniably masculine traits that would never let him pass the test.
He would be very wrong in that assumption, of course, assuming his veil had managed to stay in place the whole time.
"Oh," he said with a modest wave of his hand, "not nearly as stunning as yourself, I'm sure! Though that would have been quite the historic event, at any rate. I'm not sure there's ever been a Zora to set foot in the desert."
Because that would be bad. Very, very bad. Though now Sidon was wondering if his ability to adapt to various climates here on Earth might better afford him to...
No, that was not something you should think about testing, Sidon, stop.

Which he'd been great at, too, darn it.

"Then I suppose Death Mountain is off the tour list, as well," said Sidon, whose grin suggested that the fact that it was called Death Mountain didn't even register as a reason why. "If you thought the desert was difficult, then I can't imagine you'd fare much better there. They say it's so hot that anyone not a Goron or protected by some special armor or potion will actually burst into flames."
He was still a little disappointed he hadn't thought to send Peridot up on a special mission, though, to report back to him on how it was up there, really.

"I am a huge fan of not being on fire," Norman replied with a blink. "I mean, pretty sure I'm actually allergic to being on fire. It and I really don't get along."
He would know from something that came WAY too close to being actual experience in that area, yes.

She was pretty fixated on music, yes.

"I'm sure I could come up with something," he replied. "But I think that's mostly just my own bad experiences talking. Some things, I just wouldn't want to subject my friends to, you know?"
Like, he would absoulutely not take people to Blithe Hollow. They didn't need to eat at the Witchy Wiener. Nobody needed to meet Alvin. And the coolest residents of the whole town were ghosts that only he could see, anyway.
