Second floor common room- Wednesday evening

Hanging out in a common room had been a much better option than hanging out in a dark room by herself, especially once Sabine showed up and found the fireplace going. Maybe it'd be smarter to sleep out here tonight?

In the meantime, though, it was definitely important to go through the fridge and make sure anything was going to go bad fast got out and eaten, right? So if you wanted an excuse to eat cold pizza and ice cream in front of a fire, here it was!

Lana came in behind her lightsaber, held high for light, then switched it off when she saw the fire. "Oh, thank the Force. It's getting a bit cold in the room." She came to sit and warm up. "Is this kind of thing usual around here?"

"Do you mean the snow, the power outage, or the fireplace that we don't think was here before?" Sabine checked.

Lana thought about it. "All of the above, really. The extreme weather changes and the poor infrastructure especially. I imagine the fireplace is just this island, being helpful for once."

How was it that that was the normal thing?

"I'm blaming Earth in general for the first two things," Sabine said with a sigh. "I just hope it stops soon. I'd like to actually be able to get around outside at some point."

"I may go outside anyway," Lana said. "I've never been in this kind of weather. It'll be good practice if I ever end up on Hoth." ahahahahaha

"That could be a fun reaction," Sabine decided, smiling a little.

"Oh, don't worry, I've got plenty of warm clothes," Lana said, smiling back. "Want to make a trip of it tomorrow, then? It's probably best during the day."
