Second floor common room- Wednesday evening
Hanging out in a common room had been a much better option than hanging out in a dark room by herself, especially once Sabine showed up and found the fireplace going. Maybe it'd be smarter to sleep out here tonight?
In the meantime, though, it was definitely important to go through the fridge and make sure anything was going to go bad fast got out and eaten, right? So if you wanted an excuse to eat cold pizza and ice cream in front of a fire, here it was!

"Well, this is fun," she said dryly. "Reminds me of home."
She was so thrilled about that.

Well, timing-wise there was a pretty well established pattern by now, but Peebee kind of wanted to have more faith in the island's whimsical nature.

She paused and glanced over at the fireplace, tilting her head. “Huh. I don’t remember — does that ever get lit? Because I don’t think I’ve seen it, if it has. Handy, anyway.”

Though the blizzard was of course a normal, freak storm.

By eating it. He was a giver that way.

"Meep meep," Beaker said around a mouthful of ice cream. "Meep meep meep mee?"
Why would Sabine know when the power would come back on, Beaker?

Don't get too close to the fire, Beaker. We know how these things turn out for you.

That's why you need to be further back, Beaker.

She couldn't stop, drop and roll with a Muppet tonight, she just couldn't.

It wouldn't have been a big fire. Probably.

...Actually, it was for her, the explosives expert.

That was sooo not his motto.

"Let's pretend."

The fact that this one also had people in it, though, was more than enough reason to stay. He'd hate to wind up being cold, uncomfortable, and lonely.
"It grieves me," he said as he came in, shaking his head, "that I cannot in good faith bid you all a good evening in good faith, but please know that I most certainly would if it weren't for our current abysmal circumstances."
Yeah. Someone really didn't like the snow, you guys.

"I don't suppose," he ventured, "any of that food might be related to fish, would it? Perhaps I should have thought to bring the stock of fishsticks I keep on hand upstairs with me; I'll certainly have to fetch them later if this continues much longer, which I sincerely hope it does not. I must admit, I am not looking forward to another night sleeping on a couch."
But, alas, he had a feeling he just needed to resign himself to his fate. It was officially winter now, he realized, so he'd best just preparing himself grudgingly for one various discomfort after the other until spring...

Which... let's probably not?

He then his way over to the freezer, frowning slightly as he extracted the bag of fishsticks from it. "I'll be sure to replenish them for whoever they belong to after this whole...debacle has cleared."
