Roof Emo Garden, Thursday Afternoon

Keyleth hadn't made her way up to the dorm roof before today for some reason, and that was a shame since she'd clearly been missing out on the little garden she'd discovered up here, with its fascinating spiky little plants.

After the experience of having an unexpected shark crash into the simulated common room during class today, being around the plants was oddly soothing -- as was the altitude, which made her feel a little more at home. She busied herself with conjuring water to fill a bucket with which to tend to the plants, then carefully examining them and using her druidcraft to coax some of the more slowly growing buds and shoots into a healthier state.

It was a comforting way to spend an afternoon, really.

"I do, yeah. They have temporary stuff that comes out in a few washes, too, if you ever wanted to try that without committing," Sabine told her.

Keyleth hadn't really given the idea much thought right up until now, to be honest. "Really? I mean . . . you don't think it would look too weird or anything?"

So congratulations on being her new standard of cool, Sabine.

"No. And who cares what I think, anyway? It's your hair, you're the only one who has to like it," Sabine pointed out.

“Good point,” Keyleth admitted. She chewed on her lower lip for a moment. “I’ll — I’ll think about it, okay?”

There had to be something that would complement the antlers in a different way than the red, right?

"Sure. And if you need any help, let me know." It was kind of becoming a thing here, for some crazy reason.

“I can do that!” Keyleth nodded with a slightly alarming amount of enthusiasm. “Though it would help if I knew where to find you, and everything. You’re Sabine, right? We’re in Culture Shock together?”

"I am," she nodded. "And you're Keyleth? I'm over in 210, but I feel like I'm in the common rooms just as often."

Mostly because that's where the food was.

"That's me! I'm in 308," Keyleth told her. "Is there really as much food in the common rooms as there was in the one with the shark earlier?"

"You can order one small pizza and end up with six large ones," Sabine responded immediately.

". . . I've never heard of that kind of magic, I don't think," Keyleth said, blinking. "Oh wait, is that just a weird Fandom thing? Should I just generally assume the answer to that question is yes?"
