Sixth floor common room- Wednesday evening

Sabine just wanted to get away from people for a while, and rather than going out to the warehouse, she decided to head on up to the sixth floor common room. No one was ever up there, so why not?

What she found was a party setup. This wasn't the first time she'd stumbled onto one of these things, and on a week like this she wasn't sure she trusted it. So she took a picture of the setup and sent it to the other students with a message, I think the sixth floor did it again?

She realized belatedly that this was of course probably going to bring people in here when that was the exact opposite of what she'd wanted. Look, she was not firing on all cylinders this week. She couldn't even seem to pick up the Coke bottle that may or may not have been stuck to the floor, but still spun if you hit it. Interesting.

This was totally fine and Sabine was definitely not questioning why she was bothering to see who showed up. This wasn't her party, she didn't need to be here, she could leave whenever.

But still, she could see who showed up.

"This is a really bad idea and I'm not sure why I actually came up here," Norman announced as he stepped into the common room, holding his phone and looking a little wide-eyed. "Why did I come up here?"

Because who needed inhibitions this week, right? Right?

See, Astrid sort of figured she knew exactly what Sabine meant by that message about the sixth floor; it wasn't too difficult to discern that it likely meant a random party, and if there was a random party Sabine was dealing with, then that put her in a good position to be away from Sabine for a little bit, because the shared space of their room was starting to really get to her.

But, at the same time, she'd just spent all day being awkward around Sidon, so a party would give her the chance to spread that awkwardness around with multiple people instead of having it laser-focused on one particular individual, which was far worse and more awkward.

It wouldn't hurt to check it out. It would beat staying in her room and getting distracted by Sabine's artwork or getting distracted by her own, which only turned out to be betraying her at every turn, putting far too much of what was in her head onto paper.

"How does it even do this?" she wondered, considering the whole randomly appearing set up with a shake of her head.

Look, Trevor had basically turned into a hermit for a bit there. More than a bit.

It had been a full on hermithood.

But now for reasons having to do with, lets say the weather, he was breaking that to come back out. And not do magical tricks like his last foray.

"Oh thank God, you have ale," he said, making a beeline for those drinks.

Paris was tired of waiting for her letter from Harvard to arrive, and tired of feeling pent up inside her room, and tired of starting to see Sidon as maybe a little cute?

So yeah, out of the room was good. Drinks were a terrible idea, but that was super not stopping her tonight.

Prompto's whole plan for the whole week, or at least until this super amped up energy started to die down a little, sort of involved all but fusing himself to Yang's side at every opportunity he had. Did it make him feel a little bit like a pathetically attached puppy dog? Oh, totally. Did he care, given the current circustances? Not even a little.

So he was expecting to skip the party because he could think of something else he'd much rather do, but then there was Yang going to the party, so...looks like Prompto was going to the party, too.

Usually, he'd be all for a party. Right now, it was kiiinda feeling like a bit of a consolation prize, but, hey, it was fine. It was totally fine! Parties were great! And he was going to make the most of it, and there wee snacks and there were people, so yay party.

The Coke bottle couldn't be picked up, but it could be spun. Which naturally somehow ended in a bunch of people sitting around to spin it to see who to kiss.

So she reached over, spin, and watched as it landed on Trevor.

Now that Trevor saw how this weird little gane worked, he took his turn to spin the bottle. And it landed on 6 Paris. "Well, I guess this is a way to meet people."

Feeling emboldened by the adult beverages she'd decided to imbibe in, as well as the invulnerability that came with the fact that she'd be gone before the month was even out, Astrid decided not to just sit around and let destiny decide for her where her first kiss would come from, but to take her fate into her own hands...well, her hands and the hand of chance...and gave the bottle an eager, timid spin.

And bit her lip as she looked up to see who it had landed on.

On the hand, at least it was someone she liked and trusted.

On the other hand, she did still have at least two weeks here. And two weeks suddenly went from seeming like nothing to an awful lot time still to go.

And looking up to see that it landed on Norman.

If Sabine had been slowly working through her drink before the game, she was being more serious about it now, if only for something to do. You know what didn't help the current situation? All the kissing, and seeing other people kissing.

And did she go back to her room now? Would it be weird? It'd probably be weird today?

APPARENTLY I did this same thing like four years ago, only I could do the RNG on a computer instead of tiny phone internets, so now people have to do it themselves. Also I totally forgot I did this thing like four years ago and have zero problem recycling.
