Sabine just wanted to get away from people for a while, and rather than going out to the warehouse, she decided to head on up to the sixth floor common room. No one was ever up there, so why not?

What she found was a party setup. This wasn't the first time she'd stumbled onto one of these things, and on a week like this she wasn't sure she trusted it. So she took a picture of the setup and sent it to the other students with a message, I think the sixth floor did it again?

She realized belatedly that this was of course probably going to bring people in here when that was the exact opposite of what she'd wanted. Look, she was not firing on all cylinders this week. She couldn't even seem to pick up the Coke bottle that may or may not have been stuck to the floor, but still spun if you hit it. Interesting.

[LOOK. Look. Our students are too good, and this is a good week to fix that. Open party, up early for SP!]

Paris wouldn't be Paris if he wasn't making questionable life choices, which was why he ordered every variety of pizza the place had, as well as far more soda than a guy who'd never had soda before should be exposed to.

He'd found a music channel (all Spanish, all the time!) and had cranked up way past what would be considered appropriate for a weeknight evening.

Come, party on a Monday night!

Paris had successfully popped microwave popcorn (no horrible scorching smell! You're welcome, rest of the fourth floor!) and settled onto the sofa for a mostly unproductive evening flipping channels until she found a decent documentary.

What she discovered--on every channel--was some sort of singing competition where people in huge, masked, costumes sang and the judges guessed who they were? Or something?

"What fresh hell is this?" Paris demanded to the universe at large, slumping onto the sofa with extremely poor grace.

[OOC: I am bored and have never seen even one episode of this show. Mod with great abandon!]

Once again, Sabine's stuff had gone missing, and she'd decided it was the day to actually look through the common rooms and see if it was somewhere there somehow. And once she got to the sixth floor, a floor she wasn't even sure she'd realized they had, she found a party set up. There was food, there were drinks, there was music going, there were even vaguely partyish decorations strung up.

But no one was here, and she looked around before getting out her phone and sending a group text to the dorms: Did someone throw a party on the sixth floor and forget to tell anyone? Because there's one waiting up here.

So, maybe she'd wait for people and see if they knew what was up? And anyway, there was free food and drink, so she went to grab a soda, and spotted a familiar symbol on a cap. "Hey, this is mine."

[I Never party! Text sent to everyone who wants it, open to all students!]

Paris had caught up on the news, which was why Paris was now camped out in the common room in the most elaborate pillow fort ever constructed, complete with a "NO Y CHROMOSOMES ALLOWED NO I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR WHINING, EVERYTHING IS NOT ABOUT *YOU* ALL THE TIME, MEN, JFC" sign on the door into the area.

She was crouched in the center of the pillow fort, doing her best to make a dent in the ice cream supply of the entire island, and yelling disparaging comments at House Hunters. "No one needs a room just to sunbathe in, Stephen. For God's sake."

[OOC: Where I am spiritually Paris today. So open.]

Paris was opening cabinet doors and muttering under her breath as Lucky Charms cereal continued to fall out, even from doors she'd already opened. "That doesn't make sense," she told the door.

Which didn't talk back, much to her unspoken relief. "I'm not eating this for breakfast," she announced to the ceiling. "If I wanted to go into a sugar coma, I'd just hit the pixie stix like a normal person!"

So, Summer had planned to go out for decorating for her New Years party, but Summer underestimated Summer's own laziness, and anyone coming in the room could clearly see where she started with all the streamers and glitter and balloons and where she started to just lose interest and get bored and just kind of said 'fuck it.' It really didn't help that it turned out her name for the party was too long even for the banner, so there hung over the food table something that just simply read: "New Years Party All Night Because Who Even Cares Tha"

Which seemed appropriate enough.

She didn't get lazy about the food, though, and she definitely didn't get lazy about the drinks, so there was that. And so now she just had to hope everyone got the invitation in some way or another and that they'd show up but people here were weird about parties. But, hey, she'd take partying by herself if it came down to it over sitting in her room by herself on New Years Eve.

[[and now for a little OCD all is prepared! ]]

Paris was so very tired of pumpkin spice smell, but she needed something to eat before beginning a marathon writing session.

She opened the fridge: "Pumpkin spice cookie batter, pumpkin spice iced lattes, pumpkin spice pumpkin--really?, pumpkin spice pancake mix, and three thousand gourds. I hate this place."

Paris flipped the television to C-SPAN (nerd alert) and was grumpily eating a bowl of pumpkin spice Cheerios. Please distract her.

Yesterday had been extremely trying and that was before Paris had moved into a room with the...shark guy.

And to think until this weekend, she'd thought the weirdest person she'd ever met had been Brad Langford--a kid so weak he'd transferred from Chilton to escape her.

But Paris was nothing if not adaptable she lied to herself! So here she was, in front of the television, yelling at the Sunday morning political talk shows, just like this was any other Sunday and not a weekend where she'd seen multiple people with green skin.

[OOC: Oh so open.]

Since FH has existed for a Very Long time, some of our communities have a Very Long list of tags -- enough to bump up against Dreamwidth's tag limits for free comms. [community profile] fandomhighdorms is one of them.

This list is our best solution for that issue short of always maintaining a paid account: we've gone through the tags for dropped characters only and deleted all of them that were only used 5 times or less. (Should we near the tag limit again, we may increase that number, but it seems unlikely to happen given the original buildup took ten years.)

Don't worry, though! You can still find all the posts from those characters without having to hunt them down on your own. We've replaced those tags with a chronological list of URLs for each post in which the character was tagged.

So if you don't see a character tag on the Tags Page, check here! (Or if you just prefer to read the scrolly version of posts, the old-style tags are still intact on LJ.) If you don't see it on any of the lists, then either they didn't appear in any posts in Dorms, or they did, but weren't tagged.
