Second floor common room- Wednesday evening

This had been the strangest day Harry had had since he was here, and he'd gone to the common room to decompress. Maybe watch something. Maybe talk to people.

And what happened was he decided he was gonna get on a broom and play Quidditch in the common room sooooooo there was that.

Belle, much younger than usual, smiled again. "I never met anyone who could fly before," she confessed shyly.

"Maybe you have and you just don't know it," Harry said excitedly.

Belle was back to her usual size and smiled at Harry again.

"Ooh, maybe!" That was a good thought, Harry!

"I mean, I could be wrong," he added.

Belle turned away then, much more interested in the book that had suddenly appeared in her hand than in her classmate who could fly.

This was why people wrote songs, Belle.

"What've you got there?" Harry asked, concerned.

"Ale," Belle said, draining the mug that had replaced the book in her hands.

"Would you like some?" Too bad if you did, she only had the one mug.

Well, his reaction was to kiss her, so maybe he was really grateful for the offer?

"Oh, that's enough of that," Belle said, side-eyeing Harry for the attempt.

The boys at this school! Ugh!

"Sorry about that," he said, sheepish. "Just seemed like the thing to do."

He was already forgiven because a plate of pancakes had just appeared in front of Belle.

"Ooh, pancakes!"

"Where did those come from?" Harry said, deeply worried.

"The same place as this dress?" Belle said.

She had no idea, Harry.

"It's a great dress, though," Harry told her, smiling. Which was smoother than anything he had ever said in his life.

"Why, thank you," Belle said, smiling. And still wearing the gown because that's what the icon gods decreed.

"It's very yellow," he said, now standing next to Dumbledore for some reason.

"Where did that old man come from?" Belle asked, loudly.

No, she didn't mean Five.

"Maybe he Apparated!" Harry said, into this idea. "I have no idea what's going on today."

Belle, tiny once more, smiled and nodded in agreement. "I don't know what that means but perhaps he did!"

"Why do you keep getting younger?" Harry asked, displeased.

[noonedecidesmyfate]

"Why don't you?" Belle snapped in return.

[imawizard]

"How should I know?" Harry said, crabby. "I'm clearly not in charge here."

Belle, back to being small yet again, considered that.

"Clearly," she agreed.

"This is what I'm saying," Harry said with a sigh.

"We'll manage somehow," Belle said stoically.
