"I see you and Marty are..." River gestures vaguely and raises her eyebrows in a suggestive manner. "... talking?"

Angela remembers her conversastion with River of the week before, and flushes. "Talking. Possibly dating. May have called him my boyfriend in a weak moment this morning."

She shrugs and plays with her drink.

"I hate what he's done, but ... he makes me feel safe, somehow."

River hugs her knees to her chest and says, "I know what you mean. It's good to have people around like that."

Then she looks up, schooling her expression into a smile. "So what were you doing during the whole thing?"
