Marty gives her a reassuring smile.

"Good. By the way? If you think you're getting off on post-makeover Ally Sheedy in Breakfast club, you've got it all wrong. You have to go goth/grunge."

Rory actually laughs. "No way. No. For one thing, I wash my hair."

"Nope. You have to go Grunge and carry around that weird sandwich she made with the cereal. If I have to go as Judd Nelson, you have to go grunge."

"But Bender's cool!" Rory whines. "He's my favorite character! You'e so lucky to go as him."

"The theme is 'come as you aren't'. Post make-over Ally? Come on! That's too close to you. At least carry the sandwich around and do the black gook around the eyes."

"Deal. But there is no way I'm doing anything remotely resembling that dandruff snow thing she did," Rory agrees. It felt good to talk about something normal.

"Rory's right," Angela says, jumping in. "Bender is the best character."

She turns to Rory. "I love grungy Ally, but I'm into whatever you want to do."

She sighs. "I'll do the grungy thing, on the condition that I'm just kind of...dark and crazy, rather than full-on icky grunge."

Marty thumps his fists up in air in victory.

"Yes! Grunge Rory!"

Rory laughs. "Yay. So, will you be flaring your nostrils the entire night, a la Judd Nelson?"

"You will look so awesome, I promise," Angela says. "And, anyhow, look at the clothes I have to wear to be Molly. Claire. Whatever."

Rory grins. "Those boots alone will be fun. This is going to be great."

"The boots. And ... do they even make skirts like that anymore? And I'm going to have to use, like, a ton of mousse in my hair."

Angela grins. "It will rock."

"I have about four curling irons, and a crimping iron somewhere," Rory says, eyeing Angela's hair. "Maybe I'm glad I'm doing the grunge thing after all."

"So does this mean I should bring Camilla along and dress her as Anthony Michael Hall?"

Angela doubles over in laughter at that mental image. "Um ... yes. I was thinking about if there was, like, some sad guy we could ask, but the chicken would be so much better."

And then she collapses in giggles again.

[ooc: I know! But that's one of the main things I remember from the movie...which is weird, because it's not as though they're featured that prominently]

Angela looks down at her feet. "I could probably do it in these Docs. Though not, like, balanced on a railing. And I can't put on lipstick the way she did, so don't ask."
