Scooter waves this objection aside. "Really dead. Whatever." He does another shot or two. "Point is . . . " He stops to think for a moment. "As long as they're moving they're nothing but trouble. Almost as bad as a horde of toddlers on a sugar-high."

"Yeah. Diapers. And getting them down for their naps. And making sure they eat their cooked carrots. And stopping them hitting eachother with their toys." Scooter pauses in his recitation of all the things taking care of the horde of overstimulated toddlers would entail. He does another shot. "You'd even have to watch Teletubbies with them. Over. And over. And over again."

Scooter does another shot, then continues the conversation as though Marty had actually spoken. "Personally? I'd prefer to not have to deal with either. Or to have either of them turn up in my lunch." He knows exactly how flexible the Chef's definition of food is - he's had to rescue more than one friend from his single-minded quest to roast them or turn them into stew.

"Don't let him know about those, then. Otherwise it'll be gremlin-and-zombie cassoulet for a week." Scooter does three shots in a row in an effort to rid himself of this image. "He is a good cook, though. Just a little bit . . . different."

Scooter bows, showily. Then toasts Marty with a shot-glass. "Someone has to be." Not that he could balance out the rest of the cast's drama all on his own, but . . . it was a start. He drains the shot-glass and contemplates the once again empty row of glasses and the pretty much empty bottle, then finishes the bottle and looks around to see if there was any more to be had. "Think I'll go find some more of this. 'S good." Then he's gone, lost in the crowd.

[OOC: me too. been a long night. cheers, though. this was some good crack.]
