Sam led the way to the pool, armed with Marty's cricket bat. She set it down when she got to the door and pulled on the handle.

"Locked." She pulled some tools out of her pocket and fiddled with the lock. The doors opened a minute later. "We ready?"

"Dude, I really hope it's not there."

"Do you anything about squid, Callisto? Are they generally...hungry for people?"

Marty tapped his cricket bat on the ground. "And here I thought I was going to have a dull evening."

Archie, who'd stopped by his room long enough to get the belaying pin out of his chest, hefted it experimentally in his hand. "Ready as anything, I suppose."

Rory poked her head over Marty's shoulder. "What are we even doing?"

"Archie! Last time you and I were about to go into a dangerous situation, there were zombies."

"Squid hunting," Marty replied. "Need a cricket bat? I have a spare up in my room."

"Zombies? I can't say I recall for certain, but I wouldn't be surprised around here!" Archie peers at John. "John Crichton? I do hope I remembered your name rightly."

"You did. I look like Cameron Mitchell but I'm not him. Good to see you having some adventures again, Archie."

"S'okay. I'd probably knock someone out," Rory said, looking curious.

"Where'd you get all the cricket bats, Marty?" John asks.

"As I recall, last time I was down here Sunshine seemed mainly interested in groping Cameron's butt."

"Ah, that's right. I've a bond to you by default, by virtue of having a lookalike here, though I've yet to meet Cameron Mitchell again." Archie's tone is wistful, and he hefts the belaying pin again. "And I have rather missed adventure."

"Cam's butt? Yuck." John sticks out his tongue and makes a face. "Poor squid."

"The emporium. I bought two after Zombie weekend and the weapons ban. I bought another one last week after I bashed Angel in the head. Thought it might crack after hitting his head," Marty said with a grin.

"They usually have pretty good deals on it."

"Well, the adventure's ripe around here. Squid hunting? Tame compared to some other things that have gone on." John smiles at Archie. "But, it's always fun!"

Sam glanced at John's butt, then raised an eyebrow at Callisto.

"I'll take what I can get these days, John," replies Archie. "I am sick to death of being cooped up in my room!"

John nods. "Cool. Might be worthwhile for me to actually have one considering all the instances one would come in handy."
