Sam led the way to the pool, armed with Marty's cricket bat. She set it down when she got to the door and pulled on the handle.

"Locked." She pulled some tools out of her pocket and fiddled with the lock. The doors opened a minute later. "We ready?"

"Dude, I really hope it's not there."

"Do you anything about squid, Callisto? Are they generally...hungry for people?"

"As I recall, last time I was down here Sunshine seemed mainly interested in groping Cameron's butt."

Marty tapped his cricket bat on the ground. "And here I thought I was going to have a dull evening."

Rory poked her head over Marty's shoulder. "What are we even doing?"

"Squid hunting," Marty replied. "Need a cricket bat? I have a spare up in my room."

Archie, who'd stopped by his room long enough to get the belaying pin out of his chest, hefted it experimentally in his hand. "Ready as anything, I suppose."

"Zombies? I can't say I recall for certain, but I wouldn't be surprised around here!" Archie peers at John. "John Crichton? I do hope I remembered your name rightly."

In the pool area

"Anyone see a light switch?" Sam walked against the wall slowly, trying to catch some motion in the pool. "Or bring a flashlight?"

Marty (who had gone back to his room earlier and grabbed some supplies) pulled out his maglite and started shining it around.

John stays one step behind Marty because he's got the light. He's got the skillet held in a defensive position.

"Okay... now this would be the part in the horror movie where we all die a grisly death."
