First Floor Lobby: Welcome The New Students

A table full of food (including some suspicious looking cupcakes) and drinks sit in the lobby. A bunch of name tags sit next to the food so that everyone can write their name down.

"Oh, Lockheed?" Jack gestures to the dragon. "He's harmless. Well... not harmless, because he's a dragon, you know. But he's a good guy. Just think how useful he'd be if you were stuck out in the wilderness on a snowy night and didn't have an matches."

"Actually I was thinking more along the lines of good looking guys with smooth opening lines. But it's good to know the dragon's harmless." She smiled to take away the sting.

Jack clutched his chest, staggering. "Oh, I'm wounded. And possibly in love. There's just something about blondes with smart mouths. I should so introduce you to Veronica Mars." Jack grinned at her. "I'm also harmless. Completely."

Isabel reached out and patted his arm sympathetically. "You'll live. Besides," she grinned back at him. "Now we understand each other. And I would love to meet Veronica. After all, new in town. Don't know a soul."

Vala laughs as she hears the new student shoot Jack right down. "Oh, this one's got your number already," Harkness, she grins.

She had to laugh. "He has an answer for everything doesn't he?"

Okay, might as well get this over with. "Jack asked where I was from. Please, no little green men jokes. I'm from Roswell, New Mexico and no, I have never seen an alien unless you count when I look in the mirror each morning."

"Green men?" Vala looked puzzled. "We have one guy who runs the karaoke bar in town, but other than that, I think we're pretty much green-men free around here.... Unless you mean the gremlins?"

"There's a green man? In town. That runs the karaoke bar?" Isabel shook her head and shrugged. "Okay, I think Fandom might actually have Roswell beat for weird. I heard about the gremlins. Jaye said don't get bitten. What happens if you get bitten?"
