Sophomore Class Stu-Co Meeting 4th Floor CR: Saturday Evening

Lana and Lilly have gone to some trouble to straighten up the common room and get it ready for the meeting. Hopefully they'll get a decent turn-out and be able to get some stuff figured out for the school elections. A couple of Lilly's posters are hung up on either side of the door so everyone will know this is the right place.

Lana and Lilly are both there early just in case. Lana's a little on the nervous side, but Lilly's calm and composed.

There is pizza and soda set out on a table, along with a bowl of M&M's, a few bowls with chips, and some brownies.


Come on in, mix and mingle with the other sophomores, and help us decide who wants to run for Student Council.

"Yeah, it's kind of weird that we didn't really know who was who, and kind of nice at the same time that it *doesn't* matter here so much." Lana gives her a questioning look, "Oasis?"

"Oh, Oasis is my home town. On Caprica, which, yeah, 'nother planet and all that, and it's not that much different from here except we have spaceships." Cally bobs her head side-to-side a little while saying that last bit. "I've had to say that a lot in the past couple days."

"That's right, I'm sorry." Lana looked a little embarrassed. "I knew that, I just... my brain is a little fried at the moment."

"Worried about the representative thing? I know I would be, if I was trying for it. But I certainly am not gonna try my hand at politicking. Homecoming Queen was way more than enough for me." Cally nods.

"Yeah, I'm not so sure about it. But everyone else seems convinced I should give it a try, so.." Lana shrugs. "It can't hurt - much - right?

"As long as you run because it's fun, and not run because you're dead set on winning? Yeah. That was my whole attitude towards the Queen thing." Cally smiles. "And then, you get to be really happy if you win, and happy for the person who actually wins if you don't."

Lana holds up her hands, "Oh, I'm *so* not dead set on winning. If I win and I can help make a difference, that will be great. If not, I'm more than happy to support whoever does win. I mean have you heard some of these people? They'd be great on Student Council!"

"Yeah, we definitely got folks with ideas and stuff. Which is good. I just hope nobody starts mudslinging or anything, cause that's just not cool or fun for anyone." Cally nods. "I'm still not sure who I'd vote for. It's gonna be a hard decision, I think."

"I know at least Lilly and I are pretty determined there won't be any mudslinging - at least not on our ends. And I think the other Lily agrees with that, so... And yeah, definitely a hard choice. Don't know who I'd vote for either."
