4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here at each of the tables. Please note that [livejournal.com profile] peter__parker has a special doggie icon he can use at whatever table he wants. Have fun!]

Nadia gave Jack an innocent look and thought for a moment, taking a surreptitious look at his properties while she was at it.

"How about you just give me Marvin Gardens?"

Jack pouted. "Parker, are you sure you're not related to this girl?" He grinned, and shook his head. "Freshman used to be more easily led astray," he said, paying out the rent.

"You'll find I'm quite--" Nadia stopped when she realized she didn't know the word in English. "Um, thanks, who's next?"

"Try leading astray one of us older girls, Harkness," said Janet, grinning at him. "Leave the impressionable freshmen to their own kind." She rolled an eleven and moved to Community Chest. "All right! Grand Opera opening!" She held out her hand. "Fifty dollars from everyone to pay for your opening night tickets."

"Jaaaanet." Jack grinned. "I think that you can waive the $50, don't you?" He leaned in close and wiggled his eyebrows. Parker was smothering laughter behind him. "After all, I'm already behind, and either way, you come out ahead."

Janet raised one eyebrow and looked at Jack. "Waive the fifty?" she asked, amused. "What are you going to give me instead? I'm not coming out of this deal with nothing."

"A kiss, and a rent waiver?" Jack offered as Parker whispered in his ear. "Come on, you stand to gain money now, I stand to save money, we both get what we want." He grinned and leaned in closer. "Have I ever told you I love redheads?"

Janet pretended to think it over. "Rent waiver of my choosing, and a kiss," she said. "Then it's a deal. And you adore everyone, don't you?" But, hey, what the hell. She leaned in and pressed a kiss softly against his lips, but laughed as he dipped her back and kissed her soundly.

"Let's really make it worth it, Janet," he said, smirking at her.

Parker whistled, then chortled as Jack pulled Janet back up. "This makes up for you not being at Spin the Bottle last night, and you ducking out early," she said, pointing from Jack to Janet.

She rolled and got double sixes, and grinned as she moved around the board to the Water Works. After paying Pip, and pouting at him, she rolled the dice and got a three and a six. "Let's seee.... Park Place. Nadia. $35, have fun with it."

"Sweet, double sixes," Pip said. "Where was there a spin the botle game and why the hell wasn't I invited?" he asked as he moved the piece. He lands on States Avenue and throws the money over to Jack. "Quit hitting on the freshmen Harkness, it makes you seem like a cradle robber."

He rolls and gets a six and a five, putting him smack on Illinois avenue, which he already owns.

Jack gave Pip a pitying look. "If they can smile back, it's not cradle-robbing." He dimpled at Pip. "But I'll hit on you too, if it'll make you feel better, mon ami," he added, mimicking Pip's accent.

Re: Table 2 - GAME ON

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-02-12 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, actually," Pip said. "I'm feeling very left out. Don't expect to get anywhere with me, though. And your accent is terrible."

Re: Table 2 - GAME ON

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-02-12 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Jack shrugged amiably, not at all insulted. "You want Italian? Molto handsome, uomo." Jack wasn't quite sure what he'd just said, but it was something he's heard C.J. say to Ten, so he figured it at least wasn't too bad. He grinned. "It's not the destination, kid. It's the ride along the way."

Re: Table 2 - GAME ON

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-02-12 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
Pip smiled at Jack and responded in French. "When speaking foreign languages, actually know what you're saying. I will give you the part about the ride, though. While the best rides do eventually reach their destination, the ride is infinitely more important."

Re: Table 2 - GAME ON

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-02-12 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Parker gave Pip a cool look, then replied in perfect French on Jack's behalf, "Insult him in his own language, or keep a civil tongue, child." Then she smiled sweetly, and laid her head down on Jack's shoulder. "And how like a boy to think the destination is all."

Nadia rolled a four and ended up on Med Ave. She got her 200 bucks and tossed 2 at Pip. "Don't spend it all in one place."

Blair looked down at his hand and decided that jail wasn't all that bad.

Pippi is just leaving jail. She rolls a 5 and a 1. She waves to Blair.

"Bye! Have fun in jail!"

She lands on St. "Chuck's" and pays Jack. Bing a big spender she gives him $15 instead of $14.

"Keep the change kid, buy yourself something nice."

"A bottle is put in the middle of the circle; you spin it; and you kiss who ever it points to." Parker grinned at Pippi. "We had quite a bit of fun with that last night."
