Animal-Balancing Contest (evening, FHT - first floor lobby)

Rory arrived in the lobby balancing a tank with a wee turtle in it against one hip, a box from J,GOB in the opposite arm, and a flying puppy on a leash leading her.

She tied Vladdie to the leg of a table, set Yoda's tank and the cake down, and looked around to see what she still needed to set up.

[Yes, even crack-addled ideas like this need OCD threads. Wait for 'em. They're up, but play on the contest itself won't start until 5:30 EST.

ETA: And yes, it originally said it was in the afternoon. This is now set about 8:30 PM FHT.

The Tick walked into the lobby with Lockheed trailing behind him. And, egads, there was something going on. He wondered what. And so he asked.

"Hello, Rory! Egads, what's going on?"

"Sounds keen!" Tick said, immediately accepting the idea of animal balancing. "Have any moose?"

Lockheed facepawed.

"Not yet, but," Rory snuck a look at Professor Skeeter, "we might later."

"Just be careful. Moose are heavy beasts," Tick said. "It's probably easier to balance one on your head than it is to throw one for Justice, though."

Lockheed peeked through his finger-like claws and gave Rory a Look to indicate that there will be no wee dragons participating in this competition.

Lockheed shook his head and grunted, "No."

"I think he does," Tick said. "He's just shy."

"Are you sure, sir? Because that sounded like no," Rory said dubiously.

Lockheed rolled his eyes. There was only one way out of this. He had to participate.

Lockheed flew over to the books (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/504338.html?thread=24303122#t24303122) and decided to teach Rory a lesson for not getting him out of this.
