5th floor common room, noonish

Buffy had found the little kitchenette attached to the common room. There were lots of cereals there, but there was also flour, milk and eggs...

Oooh, pancakes! thought Buffy, and rummaged through the cabinets for a bowl and a frying pan.

She wasn't a paticularly good cook, but pancakes should be easy, right?

She could totally do it.

She stared at the flour. "I can do this. Yup. Um."

Pip comes up in after his morning run. "Oh. I was gonna make crepes. Sorry, I'll let you get back to making food."

Nadia came in shortly after Pip, still wearing her pajamas, spotting the ingredients shortly before the cook. "Hi. You're not Pippi," she said cheerfully.

She's not quite awake, just yet.

Buffy grinned and waved her hand towards the box with flour in. "Hey, feel free to grab what you need. I'm sure it'll be enough for both of us."

Noonish was a good time to start the day. And when Molly wandered out to the kitchenette for food, she found a new girl looking like she was preparing to make food.

"Hew, new girl. You cooking for everyone?"

"Yes! Nadia is helping." Buffy pointed at the dark haired girl. "Do you want pancakes? Pip is making crepes, I think. And my name's Buffy."

Pip waved vaguely at Molly as he made up some more crepe mix.

Jamie gives Molly a friendly wave from the sofa. "Hey Molly. You live on this floor too?"

Even 494 needed to eat regularly. He just hadn't thought about it much lately, so today it was a pressing need.

"Is there food on this floor, or is it lame here too?"

"We're working on food. If nothing else, we'll press Pip into crepe making service," Nadia said from the counter. "Hi, I'm Nadia. Welcome to the actual best floor in the dorms."

"There will be food," Buffy promised, sounding hopeful. "Do you want to help?"

"Iiii'm working on it!" Pip called out, flipping the crepe in the frying pan. "Patience, new persons, patience."

"Hey, guy whose name is a number I don't remember," Molly greeted him with a wave. "Do you live on our floor too?"

Jamie gives the guy he hasn't met before a friendly wave. "You new here too?"

One nice thing about being a multiple kid? You can still go to work, send another guy out to explore the dorm and still have a couple more to do... well whatever.

That includes eating pancakes.

He gives a friendly wave to everyone in the room he hasn't met yet. "Did I hear someone mention pancakes?"

Nadia blinked at Jamie. "Don't you wor--oh. Right. That's useful."

"There will totally be pancakes!" Buffy nodded.

Sleeping until noon wasn't something Demyx did often, but he had a feeling he could easily get used to it. His hair was still wet from the shower and wasn't styled as usual, so it flopped down into his eyes even more. "I think this floor is all cooks," he commented when he walked into the common room and found so many people cooking.

"And musicians. Musical cooks." Nadia waved. "Demyx who isn't dead, right?"

Walter wandered in and looked at the not-Pippi who appeared to be... maybe making pancakes?

"Hi."

Nadia was bouncing about, being social and also attempting to help make pancakes. She was being highly successful at one, not so much at the other. Go ahead, guess which is which.

"Hey Walter! This is Buffy. She's being Pippi today, or something."

River poked at the pancake on her plate, and glanced around at the others. Finally she decided to improvise and poured some syrup, sugar and tomato sauce on it.

Walter glanced at the new girl's choice of condiments and made a mental note that she probably shouldn't cook for him.

"Hi. My name's Walter. You're new here?"

Buffy blinked at the still-possibly-crazy roomie, shook her head a little and scooped up a generous amount of ice cream to put on her pancake.
