Well, it's sort of Xander's common room now. In the way that it belongs to everybody, and most of his associations with it involve certain red-clad authority figures more than other students, and there's no kitchen. But anyway.

There's a kitchen in 121. He made brownies. Yes, from a box. They're on the table by the tv.

Which is playing a classic black&white First Mister episode of Mr. What, because it's a little late to try convincing anybody around here that he's not a geek.

With a purple frog. Who's watching from his tank on a conveniently-placed end table. Actually Jeremiah probably has the better view.

"I'm glad you had a good time in the city. I've not been back for quite a while." Peter looked down at his clothes. "I don't make it a habit to go around without them in public. I leave that to other idiots with my name. But you mean why this outfit? All the clothes I brought from home look like this. I don't have any others."

"...when are you from? What year?" Rory clarified.

"1940 - which doesn't explain the clothes, I realise. My sisters and brother and I were sent out of London because of the Blitz. Ended up in an alternate reality which is a little bit like the fourteenth century only cleaner and with magic." He paused. "The disclaimer is the red-headed girl's who works at the clinic. But she is kindly allowing me to use it."

"Nice of Janet," Rory grinned. "That's...okay, that's not even the weirdest thing I've heard since getting here, if that tells you anything." She tilted her head. "How'd you get here, then?"

"No, not Janet. The short one with the purple eyes and the cat," Peter said, smiling. "And I personally think people coming from the future is much, much stranger, but I had difficulties phrasing it without talking for paragraphs minutes on end. My guardian sent me. He pretty much just makes things happen. One doesn't generally ask questions."

"Alanna!" Rory said, snapping her fingers. "I should've known, since...similar stuff, I think." She shrugged. "A lot of people seem to be getting here by similar, magical kind of means. Me? I drove from Connecticut. I'm boring like that."

"I think so. I didn't get her name, but she used the phrase to describe her world. Boring? I don't think so, no. I've not met anyone from this precise time yet so you're unique to me." Peter grinned even if his logic was less than airtight.

"Really?" Rory asked, raising a brow. "Yeah, I'm one of the uninteresting kids who's actually from 2006. My parents - or, well, my mom and stepdad - live in town, and we're all from Connecticut, and there's no magic or anything. Deeply, deeply boring."

"Oh, you're that Rory!" Peter considered. "That's probably sounded bad. Just a few people have mentioned you over the past days. All relating to good things. I'm supposed to ask you about how you won a bet and got chocolate?"

Rory raised a brow. "You've been talking to Parker. I predicted she'd kiss the guy she's dating now by spring break, and she did. So I won chocolate - by the skin of my teeth, incidentally, since it was the last day of spring break."

"Yes, I have. She's claimed the throne of the Queen of Chocolate, you know. Says she treats her subjects well by bestowing it upon them."
