The Pool Saturday Afternoon

Paige was still trying to get over the topless photo of 'English' Peter apparently she had a knack for missing all the fun.

Having worked out that sitting in her room trying to work out if there was a spell to go back in time and exactly how much personal gain it would involve if there was, was not a good idea she headed to the pool.

"Yeah I guess that makes sense, people are always rationalising stuff away if they can't explain it right?" she said, "and a phouka's a type of Fae?" she asked clearly confused.

"Yeah he's a horse. sort of, cuase he can change into a human too. And apparently enlongage himself ~~dirty~~ to carry a ridiculous amount of passengers."

mmmm, exposition. *drool*

"right," was pretty much all Paige could think of to say, because even in Fandom that sounded kinda wierd.

*snerk* "that wasn't the weirdest part for me." he said. "The bannik throwing me into the bathtub was kinda high up there though."

"the what now?" yeah Paige it entirely lost.

Is totally NOT doing this on purpose. Nope, not at all. "Russian domestic sprite, in charge of the bath house. He decided I needed a bath. tossed me in clothes and all."

"Oh right okay, that makes sense...sorta." she replied hoping none of these things ever got into Fandom High.

Tim shrugged. "They needed time to get used to the 20th century, and we needed to get used to them being around again. Mr. Izanagi, the school Counselor, is," his brow furrowed. "Like a Heinz 57 type of guy. Hawain, Japanese, Russian, and something else I can't remember. He had like, five Fae fighting over him. Which resulted in a nursery school floating five feet in the air."

"You're just messing with me now right?" she asked, because seriously that makes no sense.

"I'm totally serious. But honestly, the chance to give back some of the head messy you guys have been giving since I got here? Priceless."

Paige pouted slightly, " you were trying to mess with my head then? Good to know."

"But it was all true." Tim assured her. "Messed with my head at the time too."

Paige laughed a little at that, "yeah finding out magic existed and I had actually powers was pretty odd for me too."

"How'd that happen?" he asked. Realizing he'd been doing most of the expositioning. ~~and mun hasn't seen a single episode of charmed~~

She took a deep breath, "there was a car crash, my powers saved me, I didn't know that at the time, but...I just kinda discovered my other powers slowly, then when I got here someone told me what was happening."

Yea she didn't mention the crash had killed her parents, it wasn;t something she really wanted to think about.

"How long have you known, y'know about your powers?"

"about ten months, weird stuff started happening to me, one day I was in my room, talking to myself, um cos that's normal right, and I orbed a lipstick to myself, it was pretty scary at the time."

"yeah, i'd guess so." Tim said. He'd had a banshee predicting his death, but he didn't want to get into a one upsmanship convo. Not now anyway. The good news was this conversation was succesfully distracting him from his worry about Pippi. "Had any adventures yet? Wait, stupid question, look at where we are."

"well other than you usual Fandom Stuff I almost got killed a month or so ago by some weird arrow, that was pretty adventure-full." she said carefully not using the word 'dark lighter' at any point.

"Weird like magical? Or weird like, well I can't think of any other kind of weird for an arrow to be."

She laughed, "yeah wierd as in magical, had some sort of poison in it apparently, luckily my Grams knew what to do, but I had to stay home for a while after that."

*grimaces in sympathy* "harsh. Why'd someone do that?"

"Because I was trying to help save my sister and they didn't want me to," she said simply, unable to explain that this was what her life was going to be like, it'd all just started a little earlier than any of them had expected.

"Do you ever regret it?" tim asked. "The powers? The life that comes with them?"

She shook her head, "it's my life, what I'm meant to do and if it wasn't for our powers I'd probably not have ever have found my sisters, and I'd not be without them now for anything, plus I don't really know what my life's going to be like when I leave here,"

Okay so that last bit was a total lie but she didn't want to think about demons, the attacks and the very real chance that she could die for too young.
