The Pool Saturday Afternoon

Paige was still trying to get over the topless photo of 'English' Peter apparently she had a knack for missing all the fun.

Having worked out that sitting in her room trying to work out if there was a spell to go back in time and exactly how much personal gain it would involve if there was, was not a good idea she headed to the pool.

((open for interaction or your swimming pool needs, I think it's in the basement but I forget))

Peter was still exploring the dorms fully clothed zomg when he happened upon the apparent pool.

"Why in the world would there be a pool in a basement?" he asked himself before noticing Paige. He grinned at her and gave a quick bow, "how goes it, good lady?"

Peter was moving to dive into the water to pull Paige back up when she orbed to the surface. Instead he sat on the side of the pool, legs dangling over the edge and tried really, really hard not to laugh. "I'm so sorry," he said. "Should have waited until you had finished your lap at least. You can feel free to yell at me when you're done swimming."

"I can't think of a reason why I would want to do that so I thank you for your forgiveness," Peter winked. "Do you think forgetting how to swim again is a danger? I certainly couldn't be responsible for that."

"I make it a policy to never argue with impeccable logic and certainly not to incur the wrath of sisters so I suppose you are absolutely correct." Peter stood up and, taking off his tunic, threw it onto one of the chairs. He removed his boots and belt and dove into the water over Paige's head.

Emerging again, he shook the hair out of his eyes and sputtered, "it's warm!"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Treading water, Peter said, "I'm sure you're right. Just didn't expect it - been a long time since I've been in a pool." He started to swim a lazy sidestroke. "Come on then, let's swim."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not so much. More used to swimming in the ocean at this point. It seems funny not to have a current."

"I'd be happy to do so though anything I know beyond 1940 has been from histories I've read since I got here. Is Maia British?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'll certainly tell what I can. But it's good she's not particularly fussy, there were quite a few differences between the countries at the time. For one, Britain was at war." Peter grimaced.

Reaching the edge of the pool, Peter looked at Paige and smiled. "Race you back?"

Tim wandered out in the direction of the pool, his face not looking happy. He wasn't entirely aware of what direction he was going in. The library was closed. It was possible the bookstore had something relevent, he could check there. He supposed there was bound to be someone on this island who might be able to help, but he wasn't sure who to ask. maybe luna? He could of course call home, but the phone card was only for emergencies. and he wasn't sure yet that this qualified.

Even a worried Champion of the Fae takes notice when a hot girl in a swimsuit talks to him. "Huh? Oh, hi, yeah, I'm Tim Desmond." *awkward smile* How'd he wind up by the pool?

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Looks down at his fully clothed self. "I uh, kinda was wandering aimlessly. Is that the same thing as lost?" he does however, take off shoes and socks, and roll his pant legs up so as to dangle his feet in the water. "I was kinda distracted."

He'd been pretty open about stuff so far. "Do you know anything about Changlings?" he asked.

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Tim smirked a bit. "You're the second Witch I've met so far." that he knows of "I think I spotted one yesterday. But I'm not sure, it was weird." He blinked. "And I mean that it wasn't the same as the other changeling's I've dealt with."

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-05-13 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"A changling is a Faerie Child, who's been traded for a mortal one." Tim said. "yesterday I met a girl named Pippi who's eyes...well they were Changling's eyes. I've seen them before, but only once on someone my age."
