Sunday Evening - Fifth Floor Common Room

Peter was sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in front of him and a box of cookies from J. GOB.  He'd found some Coca-Cola (and still couldn't get over the fact it came in cans now) and was flipping through the channels on the TV.

Oooh, war movie.  That looked interesting.  The planes looked familiar too.  Peter sat forward in his seat as the title rolled.  Rescuing Corproral Smith?  Did they make movies about World War II now?

OOC: open for all of course but especially [profile] saltandammo

"Hey, Willow!" Conner waved back with the soccer ball. "I can totally live with not watching rubber monsters."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Figured," Willow said. "This time we're going for horror and war and what I hope are only rubber body parts that come off."

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, well, that's cheerful. As long as we're assuming they're fake rubber body parts." Conner glanced at the TV. "Hey, I've never seen this one all the way through."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Me neither," Willow said. She held her hands up over her eyes. "I'm usually doing this since, ick, body parts and blood and gore. Though on the other hand it's a World War II movie. Can the ending really be a surprise?"

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Only if you're from before 1945, I guess." Conner allowed himself a brief mental pat on the back for remembering the date and flinched at a particularly graphic shot on the screen. "Okay, that was kinda brutal. I guess I don't do gore too well either."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Willow nodded. She covered her eyes, turning her face so that she could see Conner more than the TV.

"Somehow this is easier when it's demons," she whispered.

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
"Or aliens," Conner whispered back, using his soccer ball to block the TV from view. "That I can deal with. Humans? Not so much."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Willow's eyes widened. "Those are real too??" she whispered back.

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Conner bit his lip and looked somewhat guilty. "Yeah? I mean, at least where I come from."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
"We never got those," Willow admitted, still whispering. "Demons, vampires, occasional robot."

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
"My evil principal was a cyborg," Conner whispered back. "I never actually saw any demons or vampires, but I heard they existed. It was mostly aliens in Reefside, though."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
"My best girl BFF?" Willow said, still whispering, "Dated a vampire. With a soul, but still with the fangy and the all-black wardrobe. Male BFF? Total demon magnet. Except for Cordelia but personally I think the jury's still out on her and being human."

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Whoa," Conner said, his eyes widening. "There was the time Ethan deciphered an ancient Egyptian code, got himself cursed, and brought an evil pharaoh back to life, but I think you win -- who's Cordelia?"

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
"We had an Inca mummy girl," Willow said, brightly. "Though, again, Xander. So you see my point about him and dating demons. Cordelia's his ex. I think that's why he turned gay."

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, Xander!" Conner snapped his fingers. "The one who's dating Bridge, right? Not the one with the accent? Or is there a third Xander I don't know about?"

He suddenly looked worried. "Oh, man. Please tell me that doesn't mean Bridge is a demon."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Not the one with the accent," Willow confirmed. "The one who's dating Bridge, who'd better not be a demon if he knows what's good for him."

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
"You think there's some way we can find out for sure?" asked Conner. "Because he told me he was in training for some kind of police academy, and the police don't take demons, do they? I mean, I hope not."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think demons have police departments," Willow said. "But - oh! I could do a spell! A demon-testing spell!"

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Conner blinked some more. He'd known in an academic sort of sense that witches were real, but that was a different thing from actually meeting one. Assuming this was the case, anyhow. "You know magic?"

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Darn her magic geekiness getting the better of her mouth before she could stop it!

"No?" she squeaked, though probably not convincingly.

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Pursue the subject, or stave off the flailing? Conner decided the flailing might be a little too much for him to handle. "That's okay. Me neither," he said. "Which means we probably shouldn't try that, huh?"

Which was a really lame attempt at a joke, if he were to be completely honest with himself. Not that he was, at this particular moment.

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Right," Willow said, nodding eagerly. "Bad idea. Don't know why I suggested it. Though probably because dissecting him isn't an option"

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh, excuse me?" Bridge says, a little startled.

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Nothing!" Willow said, looking innocent.

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-15 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not a demon," he says, frowning.
