Gym, Wednesday Morning

Since that Buffy girl had managed to wrangle his agreement to join a possible basketball team, he decided he might as well get some practice in.

He might be a skinny geek, and only so-so shooting hoops, but he could dribble with the best of them.

Aeryn didn't actually make it down here yesterday, but today is a completely different story. She enters the gym, giving a nod to the new guy, and heading to one of the machines.


[Again, going to work in about an hour, picking up pings on lunch and afterwards. But dammit, I'm bored now.]

Considering that the ball was bouncing towards Aeryn, might have been a little generous.

"Oops."

She bends to pick up the ball. "I think this is yours," she tells him, passing it back.

"Thanks," Zack blushed and started nervously passing the ball from hand to hand. "Uh, I'm Zack Addy. New kid."

"Aeryn Sun. I figured," she answers. In a common room setting, she knows there are people who have gone to the school since September that she's never met. In the gym... notsomuch. "Is this your first time down here?"

Alanna waved as she came into the gym and began to stretch.

Zack nodded to the redhead as he started dribbling the ball again.

"You new?" Faithful trotted in and jumped on to his sill, quickly falling asleep.

"Yeah." Zack aimed for the hoop and missed. "Zack Addy."

Alanna didn't snicker, really. "Alanna Trebond." She finished stretching and began to slowly go through her routine with Lightning.

Peter bowed to Alanna when he came in. Because another person with a sword? Always to the good as far as he was concerned. Plus he had a feeling she would be no slouch using it.

Alanna returned Peter's bow and continued going through her exercises.

Parker may have been very much *avoiding* looking at Alanna with Lightening when she came in. No reason. Nope. None. Nada. Niento. Zip.

Alanna smirked and cheerfully waved at Parker.

Parker gave her a sardonic wave back, and grimaced. Hoo, boy. "Hey."

"Miss Parker." Alanna's voice was very innocent. "If I recall correctly, I owe you a fencing lesson."

"Hey Zack," Peter said as he came into the gym, found a practice weapon, and started his warmup.

Zack finally gave up on shooting and decided to just work on his dribbling instead. "Hey Peter."

"Are you playing...basketball?" Peter searched for the right word.

"Trying to," Zack replied. "Buffy's starting up a team so she can get cheerleaders."

"Buffy wants cheerleaders? Aren't cheerleaders something guys usually want?"

Parker started working with the free weights first, nodding to Zack and the others when she came in.

Peter bowed to Parker as she came in.

"Hey, English." Parker waved back, then stopped to watch him with the sword for a moment. "You do that a lot?"
