A challenge had been issued, and Willow did not shrink from a challenge. Peter had wanted to know what was special about Willow cookies, and the only way to do that was to make them.

Plus Joxer could use another get well present, and there was the party tomorrow.

So after slipping invitations for Buffy, River, Kaylee, and Hermione under their doors, Willow headed to the fifth floor common room with grocery bags full of supplies and got to work.

Chocolate chip cookies didn't bake themselves after all.

Tyler smirked at that. "Did they have flamethrowing demons at your old school? Because that was a new one for me."

He scratched the back of his neck. "Actually, all the supernatural stuff is kind of new to me."

"It takes getting used to," Willow said. "Most folks in Sunnydale don't even see it, even when it's right in front of their face."

"People can be pretty blind when they want to be," Tyler agreed.

"So which workshops are you in?"

"Computers, Magic, and Cooking," Willow said. "You?"

"Dada, karate and sex ed," Tyler recited. "I thought about the computer one, but I decided I needed more dadaism in my life."

"Was it just me or did the Sex Ed one sound kind of naughty?" Willow asked.

"My interest is entirely academic," Tyler said, looking slightly embarassed.

"Oh. Okay," Willow said, figuring maybe it had just been her. "I'm hoping the computer one is good. It sounded kind of intro, but they said hackers were welcome too."

"You into computers?" Tyler asked. "That's pretty cool. They are useful things."

"Totally into computers," Willow said. "Not today, though, 'cause mine's with Bridge. Which I am totally fine with and am not at all nervous about."

"Bridge is another one I haven't met yet," Tyler said. "At least, I think I would remember the name. Do you not trust him?"

"We're building trust," Willow said. "Also there's the issue of me being without my baby for days at a time. I won't say that there's hyperventilating, but I might come close on occasion."

"Got it," Tyler said. "Trust good, hyperventilation very bad."

Then, as an afterthought. "Um, he wouldn't be the type to try to blow a computer up, would he?"

Willow gave a dark look. "He'd better not be."

"Check the top of the laptop screen. You can drill them and fill them with something, then the electricity sparks it," Tyler said.

He followed the statement with a huge swig of milk.

Willow gasped. "He wouldn't dare!"

Tyler hesitated.

On the one hand, probably only a deviant like ... himself would consider such a thing.

On the other, who was to say this Bridge guy wasn't another deviant like himself?

And on the third hand, this chick was kind of fun to play with. So.

"Sometimes it's the quiet ones," he said earnestly. "Check the screen and you should be fine."

"How would I check?" Willow asked, earnestly.

"Check the top of the computer screen," Tyler said. "He would have needed to drill a hole to pour in the sawdust or paraffin, either works. He could fill it in with putty, but you'd still see the dimple."

"Easier way is to make him turn it on first. If he waon't, you have a pretty good idea something's up."

"I'll do that," Willow said with a firm nod. "Thanks for the warning, Tyler!"

"I am always happy to help," Tyler said. He almost sounded sincere.
