Sam stretched out on the grass, reading. Occasionally she sipped from a bottle of water. She was immensely botherable.

Jaye's bored and it's nice out. Therefore, she comes outside and unceremoniously plops herself down on the grass.

"Hey. How's the toaster?" It has occurred to Sam that she may never have a normal conversation with Jaye again.

"Haven't heard much out of it since it broke Jack's heart," she replies. "It might be rethinking its decision."

"Wouldn't you, if you broke Jack's heart?"

"I think I'd be boggling more about how I managed it," Jaye answers, thinking about it. "Somehow I think Jack'll survive. Not so sure about the toaster."

"Hey. Reading anything interesting?" Elizabeth asked, wandering across from Pangolin.

"Hey!" Sam grinned up at her. "I know your game. You've run out of things to read and are just looking for suggestions. It's interesting to me, but maybe not so much to other people." "The author's got an interesting take on it, anyway."

Elizabeth laughed, moving to sit down by her. "Caught me," she said. She pulled a face. "You're right; that's pretty much only going to be interesting to you. But that's not fair. Parker told me off for reading my equivalent to that and instead made me read a trashy romance!"

Sam made a face and made a note to keep her reading away from Parker. "Trashy romance? Doesn't seem like Parker's thing."

"I swapped it for one of my thrillers; she so got the better deal out of it," Elizabeth said heartfeltly. "I don't know what she was complaining about; it was in English and everything!"

Tempe walked over and plopped down next to Sam on the grass. "Hey Sam."

"Hey, Tempe. Happy Sunday."

"You too," Tempe replied. "How was your week?"

"A little weird," Sam said, still confused by how she'd ended up with the afternoon activity she was going to have if it happened, "but basically good. My flight workshop was a real blast. What about you? Still settling in?"

Jack grinned when he saw Sam. He'd been wandering the campsite looking for her, one of the drawbacks of planlessness being that it made it more difficult to find the person you were taking out.

He dropped to sit on the grass beside her. "Afternoon, Sam," he said, still grinning. "You seem to be embracing planlessness very nicely."

"Howdy, Jack," Sam grinned, shading her eyes from the sun, "and it's all a fraud."

Jack shifted until he was sitting between her and the sun and looked down at her. "A fraud. How so? I see you lazing in the sun, I see you reading," he peered at the cover of her book, "okay, not pirate ninja sex, but still, something you enjoy. I sense no planning here."

"What is it with the pirate ninja sex?" Sam asked, "and the plan part comes in where I knew I'd be running into you at some point, so I couldn't do something that would get me all greasy."

Everything having been successfully got in place in the alcoves, Dean wandered outside to see where everyone not setting up pranks had got to.

"Sleep okay?" Jaye greets him, completely oblivious.

"Last night?" He grinned and plopped down on the grass. "Yeah. Less noisy."

"I could buy you earplugs, you know," she suggests. "A little prezzie."
