Meerkat Campfire, evening

The cabin is back, or visible at least since it never really went anywhere. She survived cheerleading practice without injury and the rain seems to have stopped. All in all, not a bad day. Now it's time to sit back, relax and enjoy the last campfire and the last s'more for a while.

"Well, they won't let us set fires like this in the common room," Parker pointed out.

"True," Peter said sadly. "Tyler kindly found that out for us."

Parker nearly choked on a marshmellow, then got her chuckles under control. "Ahem. No. Although maybe you can burn something on the roof, if Professor Tick allows it. But I think we might as well make the most of the fire while we've got it."

"I suppose if I really felt the need, I could come back out here and burn things," Peter said. "Unless all the cabins disappear after we go back to the dorms."

"You know, that's a distinct possibility, given recent events." Parker cocked her head and cast a jaundiced eye on their cabins. "At this point? I'm packing an extra tent, just in case *someone* gets creative, for whatever reason, with my sleeping area."

"I'm sure no one would do such a thing to anyone else's cabin here," Peter said with a straight face. "Any disappearances are probably just a manifestation of all those Fandom weirdnesses you all told us about last month."

"Do you at least believe us about the gremlins, now that you've met their huggy cousins?" Parker raised an eyebrow. "And I admire your ability to sell that story. I think the accent helps."

"I never doubted you about the gremlins," Peter said. "Though after meeting their cuddly friends, I don't particularly want to meet them. And I'm only 'selling' the story if it's not true."

"Spontaneous disappearing cabins. Which you know nothing about." Parker snorted. "I am never playing poker with you. Ever."

"I don't really know how to play anyway," Peter said.

"Stick around, it'll only be a matter of time before you add that vice to the list." Parker grinned. "Isabel and my not-cousin-Peter organized a Poker Night a while back. Which at least went better than Monopoly did, from what I heard."

Peter grinned. "Sounds like fun. The poker night that is, not the Monopoly one. What happened? Did the pieces come to life?"

"Blair staged a sit-in. Then I think Nadia made off with the money? I had fun, but I was kissing Jack through half of it." Parker grinned. "I think Barbossa was cheating, too. You've never met such a bunch of competitive and creative minds-- oh wait. You're in Stickbug. Never mind."

Peter laughed. "We just want history to remember us fondly."

"You keep pushing it, and someone's going to *make* you history before you're even properly dead." Parker smirked. "There's probably more gnomes and troubles where the others came from."

"Oh, I'm sure there are," Peter replied, grinning. "And I can't but give the Meerkats their due for some very good revenge tactics. Anyway, the rest of you may have been bored for the past two weeks if we weren't entertaining you."

She tilted her head. "You miiiight have a point there. Since the other biggest thing going on would be the off-and-on kissy in Seahorse cabin. And I've managed to miss all that."

"I've heard about that too," Peter said with a slightly dumb-struck expression. "It's an...interesting choice of pastime."

Parker smiled slowly. "Well, we think so. You look like you're looking for a couch to hide under, English."

"It's not something I ever expected to be hearing?" Peter said, blushing slightly.

"Ah." Parker grinned. "You'll be hearing worse, eventually. At least someone cleaned up the pool." She shook her head. "True knight Peter-- welcome to Byzantium."

"Do I want to know why the pool needed cleaning?" Peter asked doubtfully. "But I thank you, my Lady, for your welcome to this illustrious city of...legend." He said with a bow.

"You're most truly welcome," Parker said with as much regal detachment as you can manage while trying not to smirk. "And no. You do not want to know. I wish I didn't know. And I enjoy boykissy, sometimes."

It was then that Peter very much wished he could turn off his brain. Because between the inneundo and implication, it came up with a very, very dirty theory.

"Um," he said intelligently, trying very much not to stammer. "Yes, well, I suppose that would be a problem."

"Thank Hermione for fixing it, next time you see her, English." Parker shold be good. She really, really should. But.... "I mean, at least Cally and Anders keep their handcuffs inside their own room, you know? The pool is supposed to be public."
