Meerkat Campfire, evening

The cabin is back, or visible at least since it never really went anywhere. She survived cheerleading practice without injury and the rain seems to have stopped. All in all, not a bad day. Now it's time to sit back, relax and enjoy the last campfire and the last s'more for a while.

Parker blinked. "Whatever works, I guess. Although I think I'm glad for whatever break in the prank war we're going to get while we're back in the dorms. It's been escalating to the point of Jerry Lewis slapstick. Comedy is not pretty at that point."

"Jerry Lewis isn't pretty?" Jamie asked. "You know France loves him."

"France," Parker said in tones of scorn usually reserved for, say, Detroit, "can have its own opinions. A prophet may not be appreciated in his own country but a comedian mocked by his own people is being misinterpreted by anyone else."

"I can't believe you insulted Jerry Lewis in front of me," Jamie said shaking his head. "Do you know how much money he's raised for MS?"

"Somewhere just under $500 million, why?" Parker cocked an eyebrow. "I'm denigrating his comedic talents, not his charitable efforts. I want *funny* in my funny people."

"He is funny!" Jamie protested. "Have you never seen his films?"

"I'm repressing the memories of one or two I watched as a very small child, yes. Gah." Parker shuddered. "Explain to me the humor of acting like you're an idiot?"

[identity profile] multi-madrox.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
"You don't think idiots are funny? I find them hilarious," Jamie said. "Often times I am an idiot. And funny."

"I usually find other people's active stupidity annoying. Only very rarely amusing. I am not a patient person." She gave him a dubious look. "Okay? Be funny."

Jamie multiplied himself by two and began doing a three stooges impersonation.

"Hey Moe! Hey Moe!"

"Wiseguy, eh?"

"Nyuck! Nyuck! Nyuck!"

"Why I ought to..."

"WooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWooWoo!"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Parker's usually got absolutely no patience for the Stooges. They're pointless. On the other hand, the resemblance, and Jamie's energy, get at least an eyeroll and tiny lip-quirk of a smile out of her. "Hoo boy."

"Not a stooges fan? Fine. We can work with that. Anybody got a tube sock?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Parker gives all three of him a look. "Thank you for playing, and I'm so outta here."

Jamie gives her a look of disappointment and absorbs his duplicates.

He then goes to another part of the campfire to sulk and ponder the many ways how Parker is a meenie.
