Gym - Sunday Afternoon - Cheerleading Practice

Marie arrived at the gym early, toting her pom-poms and ready for practice.

She was also carrying what appeared to be a length of PVC pipe, which was decorated with blue and gold glitter and streamers and resting on a blue pillow with gold fringe.

It was time for the Fandom High cheerleaders to have a spirit stick.

[ooc: ~~please wait for~~ ocd up, yay. also? I totally watched Bring It On the other day for research. please do not have your character drop the spirit stick without talking to me though. I have plans.]

"Maybe," Willow said, clearly still uncertain. Then, because she was the master of subtlety, she asked, "So Peter talks to you about me?"

Whoops. "He might have brought you up," Cameron said as it was not so much what Peter had said but the way he started grinning when he did it. "I'm afraid I'm bound by Stickbug secrecy however."

"You could tell me a little," Willow said, making with the pouty face. "I promise I won't reveal that you broke Stickbug secrecy."

Pouting by any girl was unfair. "All I can say is that he grins like a dork."

Well now so was Willow. "Really? When he talks about me?"

Cameron nodded in reply, looking pretty amused. "Yeah, pretty much like that."

Willow gave a happy little bounce. "So he asked you to protect me? Wait, why would he ask you to protect me? Why would Angel ask you to protect me? And please, please, please tell me Angel does not grin like a dork when he talks about me because that creates a level of complications in my life that I am just not emotionally prepared to deal with."

"No, I'm pretty sure Angel's grins were Callisto related." No, he wasn't going to bring up the Lymann crush because ew and ow. "Angel said that if anything would happen to him, you'd be able to help out as you know the curse. You know him, always being positive about things."

"Oh," Willow relaxed. "Yep, I can do that. Just hand me an orb and get out of my way. One resouled Angel faster than he can change into his leather pants."

"That's pretty impressive, he's good with leather," Cameron chuckled.

"It's also giving me a mental image of Angel hopping around in boxer shorts that I could've done without," Willow admitted.

"Thanks. I could have done without that one as well. Plus, I'm guessing that it would be bad for you to get distracted while casting a curse," he said.

"I did it from a hospital bed," Willow said, not above bragging sometimes. "I bet I could handle hoppyness."

"I'm not sure I can," Cameron admitted. "Think we can convince him to keep his pants on?"

"Sure," Willow said with an eyeroll. "Hide all the blondes with weapons."

Cameron laughed. "That and teachers."

"That was only when he was Angelus," Willow hastily assured him.

"Not exactly," Cameron said slowly, realising he might be saying a bit too much here. Then again, Angel had said they were from different dimensions.

"Angel doesn't kill!" Willow said, because her brain had skipped a track here.

"I didn't say he did," Cameron said quickly. "Just... that he did have a thing for teachers too." And possibly nuns.

Willow's jaw dropped. "Tell me not Giles!"

Yes, she knew that Giles wasn't a teacher here and hadn't been back in Sunnydale either, but her brain was stuck in a "school authority figure" kind of place.

"Giles? He's the owner of the bookshop, no?" Cameron was starting to think that Willow's brain made a whole lot of jumps or either he was being very unclear. "Not him. Prof Lyman, but I don't think he's around for the summer."

"Oh my god, Prof. Ly... wait I don't know who that is," Willow said.

"Maybe that's for the best?" Cameron suggested.

Willow thought about it.

"Was he Catholic?"
