4th Floor Common Room: Thursday Evening

Blair checked that the common room was empty before sneaking in and setting close to the television. His package arrived in the mail today and he had been waiting until now to pop it into the DVD player.

Doing one final check around the room he reached up and hit play, bouncing excitedly as the theme song music for "Runner, Texas Ranger" started.

Cause the eyes of a ranger are upon you, any wrong you do he's going to see. When you're in Texas, look behind you...cause that's where the rangers gonna be.

Blair is totally not singing and bouncing along to the theme song. At all.

"Okay, I need to be able to do that," Jaye says. "I wouldn't even have to move on my own. It would be awesome."

"I know! You could be like 'oh, do you want muffins? I'll go get them' or 'race you to the truck' and then totally win every time!"

"Or 'I'm too hung over to make it upstairs,' and whoop, I'm there!" she says, knowing this is much more likely.

"You could even make money by shimmering other drunk people to their rooms. Jaye's Sloshed Taxi Service."

"Does it work if I was drunk, too? Because really..."

"I'm not sure. Maybe you'll shimmer them to someone elses room or something." Blair grinned. "Just make sure they pay beforehand."

"If this happens, you're so going to have to be like my manager," she nods.

"I can make signs and hold the list." Blair nodded. "I'm very good with a clipboard."

"Good skills to have," she agrees.

Blair leaned forward and whispered. "We just have to keep it local. I'm not allowed to use a clipboard in Iowa anymore. Ethanol protest gone wrong."

"Are you on the lam?" Jaye whispers back.

"I can't answer that. It might not be safe for you." Blair whispered, looking around. "If anyone asks you who I am, tell them my name is Rudolph Humperdink and I'm a jockey."

"Like... with horses, right? Not with... Okay, all I can think of is horses."

"What other stuff has jockeys?" Blair thought for a minute. "Ew. Okay. If anyone asks I'm a jockey of the horse kind, not of the strap kind."

"...Ew. Okay, yes, you're about the horses," she agrees, nodding.

"Horses. Love em." Blair nodded seriously.

"Just as long as you don't love them," she says, just as seriously.

Blair tilted his head. "I...don't get it."

"...I don't think you want to."

"...dirty?" Blair really hoped she'd say no.

Jaye holds up her hand, thumb and index finger just so to indicate little bit.

"I'm shocked, Jaye Tyler. Shocked." Blair shook his head sadly. "You're normally so proper."

"Or you know, like totally not."

"I tried once, didn't work so well. I think I repressed the experience."
