4th Floor Common Room: Thursday Evening

Blair checked that the common room was empty before sneaking in and setting close to the television. His package arrived in the mail today and he had been waiting until now to pop it into the DVD player.

Doing one final check around the room he reached up and hit play, bouncing excitedly as the theme song music for "Runner, Texas Ranger" started.

Cause the eyes of a ranger are upon you, any wrong you do he's going to see. When you're in Texas, look behind you...cause that's where the rangers gonna be.

Blair is totally not singing and bouncing along to the theme song. At all.

"I don't think you did," Marie said, grinning. "What kind of fish? What's his name?"

Blair grinned and took out a polaroid of his fish tank. "It's two fish actually, and I don't have a name for them yet. Nothing seems to fit so far."

"They are very cute," Marie said. "And it's adorable that you carry a picture of them around."

Blair blushed a little and smiled. "Honestly, the tank just got too heavy."

"When you see them do any names leap out at you?"

Marie considered. "Nothing but the ordinary fish names," she admitted. "Have they exhibited any unusual personality characteristics?"

"Not really. Mostly they just swim and eat. Although this one;" Blair pointed to the fish on the left. "Seems to poop more often."

"Well, what are some things that you like?" Marie asked. "I had a friend who named her hamsters Peanut Butter and Jelly."

"I like peace and protesting and meditation and roasted tongue and people who aren't The Man." Blair bounced. "Any ideas?"

"Hmmm, what about Serenity and Justice?" she suggested.

"But which is the boy and which is the girl?" Blair grinned. "It may sound weird coming from me, but Serenity is so a girl name."

"If I had to guess, I'd say the boy is the one that poops more," Marie said seriously.

Blair laughed. "You know that's totally stereotypical, don't you? It's probably true. But totally stereotypical."

"I know," Marie grinned. "But stereotypes are generally rooted in truth," she said. "Even if there are probably a lot more exceptions to them than most people think."

"Most people just take one look at me and assume that I'm a peace-loving, green tea drinking, hemp wearing hippie kid."

"Which is totally off the mark." Blair bounced and grinned. "I don't even like green tea."

Marie giggled. "Well what kind of self-respecting hippie are you if you don't like green tea?" she teased.

"I'm a failure." Blair hung his head in shame. "They're going to take away my peace-lovers card, my tickets to Woodstock and my all of my tie-dye."

"Woe."

"You'll just have to try harder," Marie said in a mock-solemn tone. "Maybe you should declare tomorrow "Hug A Tree" day or something."

"Maybe I should!" Blair paused for a moment and then shook his head. "Not tomorrow. Friday is the day I have class with Anakin. It'll have to wait until later."

Marie giggled. "Watching Anakin hug a tree would be funny though."

"He would probably do it." Blair smiled and bounced excitedly. "Anakin is really cool."

"He's always been nice to me," Marie agreed, though she still heeded Bel's warning to be cautious. "In fact, he let Cameron take me flying in the flight sim because I've never flown before."

"Did you spin?" Blair bounced. "I spun a lot in the sim. Anakin said that was his favorite when he first started flying. Isn't that cool? Have you seen his braid?"

"No spinning. I was afraid I'd get sick," Marie confessed. "But I did some turns and stuff. It was neat."

"Very cool. You should sign up for the class. Anakin's a really good teacher and you get to try all the simulators." Blair grinned. "Oh and we got to try to ride broomsticks too."

"I might," Marie said. "It really was a lot of fun. Do you want to be a pilot?" she asked.
